Home Teeth Whitening tips for you

Teeth whitening does not necessarily have to burn a hole in your pocket. There are plenty of teeth whitening products that will cost you even lesser than your normal toothpaste; you can use items that you can find in your house like baking soda and oranges for home teeth whitening. Then you also have the slightly costlier home teeth whitening kits which you can use yourself from the privacy of your home. The other option is going in for dental office whitening which is the most expensive option of all.Below you will find several tips for home teeth whitening that have proved to be very effective. You will find most of these items in your kitchen or you can purchase them over the counter from your local pharmacist 1. Take a pinch of baking soda and make a paste with water. Brush this paste over your teeth or apply it with your finger. Allow it to stay for two to three minutes after brushing and then gargle well to rinse out. No problem if you swallowed some.2. If you can’t stand the taste of baking soda, you can use salt and lemon in equal portions. Just rub this on your teeth every night before going to bed.3. You can also use orange peel for home teeth whitening. Rub your stained teeth with the white pulpy side of the peel twice a day. After a couple of weeks, you should your teeth shine. 4. Equal parts of bay leaves and orange peel both dried and crushed can be used to whiten teeth by rubbing them with this powder or paste made by adding water.5. Gorge on strawberries or you could rub your teeth with some to achieve home teeth whitening. But after that it would be advisable to brush your teeth as strawberries have a high sugar content.6. You can use vinegar made from apple cider as a mouth wash and to whiten your teeth. Just gargle with it for two minutes or you can combine it with salt and baking soda to make a paste that you can apply on your teeth. If the home teeth whitening remedies do not work on your dull and discolored teeth, you could opt for the over the counter teeth whitening products such as home teeth whitening kits, gels, sprays and whitening toothpastes. These are comparatively cheaper than dental office whitening and once you have purchased the product you can use it for a while, so the effect lasts longer. The advantages of dental office whitening are that you are under the supervision of a cosmetic dentistry expert, the results are faster and often striking. On the down side, dental office whitening is extremely costly, requires more than one sitting and might cause gum sensitivity in some patients. However, even if it is expensive you find a lot of people opting for dental office whitening as they feel comfortable just having a cosmetic dentistry expert around.

5 Natural Tips For Overcoming Endometriosis

October 27th, 2008 by admin

If you have been diagnosed as having endometriosis and don’t want to take prescription medications or undergo a surgery just yet, here are 5 natural tips to help in overcoming endometriosis pain and discomfort.

Tips for Overcoming Endometriosis
The most important thing to remember is that the process for overcoming endometriosis is, more often than not, similar to overcoming period pain. No medication is really necessary, but patience and hard work may be required.

Rest and Relax
It might seem too simple a remedy, but it truly works. When you allow too much stress into your life, it can heighten the symptoms of endometriosis, and at the same time lower your threshold for pain. If, however, you make a conscious effort to rest and relax, and take things one at a time, you’ll be better able to cope with your condition.

Take a Bath
To be more specific, a contrast sitz bath can do wonders for your endometriosis.

Although this is a homeopathic remedy that hasn’t been scientifically proven, people who try it seem to have no complaints. A contrast sitz bath requires you to sit in a tub filled with hot water for three minutes, then move to another tub filled with cold water and stay there for one minute. You’ll have to do this three more times. It’s best to try this remedy when you’re not having your period.

Herbs for Her
Women, more than men, get good results from taking herbal remedies for various conditions and disorders, including endometriosis. Herbs like ginger, horsetail, vitex and wild yam are particularly helpful in reducing the severity of the symptoms of endometriosis according to herbal experts.

Be careful, however, when choosing which herbs to take. It’s always better if you can be sure of the safety and quality of the herbs and that they come from trusted and reliable sources.
If you’re purchasing ready-made remedies for endometriosis, make sure that they’ve obtained the approval of the US Food and Drug Administration. You’ll also want to mention your plans to your primary care physician before you begin.

Reduce Consumption of Sweets, Alcohol, and Coffee
Think of these as the Big Three in your forbidden list. Too much of any of these will aggravate your condition.

Introduce Exercise
Exercise regularly. You don’t have to exercise strenuously, but you do have to exercise at least a few minutes every day. Exercise improves the circulation of oxygen and blood in your body which makes you healthier and reduces the chances of having another painful menstrual cycle. More exercise also means less painful symptoms of endometriosis.

Overcoming the symptoms of endometriosis naturally will require some lifestyle changes and can take some time to be felt. However the benefits of being free from pain, nausea and heavy periods will certainly be worth it.

Enema – Constipation Relief through Naturopathic Procedure

Enema – Constipation Relief through Naturopathic Procedure

Constipation is the root of a host of major and minor ailments. No other natural therapy is as efficient as enema in curing constipation. Enema is a safe way to get rid of the wastes that have accreted in the large intestine. An enema with warm water (from one to one and a half liters) should be taken daily when you are on diet of fruits or are fasting. If you do not take an enema, there is no benefit to be derived from fasting or living on fruits alone. Equipment for Enema – The equipment for enema consists of an enameled container for water, a plastic tube about 5 feet in length, a tap for regulating the flow of water, and a catheter, or nozzle. A small bakelite catheter is available, but it would be more advisable to purchase a No. 24 plastic catheter, which is much more convenient.Method of Enema – 1. Lie down on a hard bed; the foot of the bed must be four inches higher than the head. Of course, you can take enema while lying on the floor, but in that case your buttocks should be higher than the rest of your body in order to facilitate the introduction of the liquid through the rectum.2. The vessel consisting the hot water for the enema should be suspended from a nail at a height of three feet from the body. The nozzle should be introduced in the rectum to allow the water to go in.3. If you raise your knee, it would facilitate the introduction of the enema into the rectum. 4. Check that the nozzle is not blocked; in that process some of the liquid should be allowed to run off. That will also ensure that there is no air trapped in the tube which may penetrate the intestine with the enema.5. Let the water go into the rectum; retain it for two to three minutes before you visit the toilet.6. Do not strain at the stools after an enema. Straining will not help clean the bowels as they should be cleaned. In the case of ordinary costiveness, a strengthening enema is advised. For that about 250 milliliters of cold water should be introduced into the intestines and retained for five to ten minutes. Cold water enervates the intestine. Such an enema can be taken daily and even twice in the day if one feels like it. But it should be taken the last thing at night before retiring. It will not harm you even if you take it for months on end.Whether the enema water is small in quantity or not, you must let the water come out of its own. Do not strain, nor be in a hurry. In the beginning you might have to spend up to half an hour in the toilet after you have taken the enema. Apnea

October 25th, 2008 by admin

Apnea

Apnea means suspension of breathing, which is either voluntary or involuntary, that is caused by drugs or some external reason like strangulation, or trauma. During apnea the respiratory muscles do not function, and the volume of the lungs remains unchanged. As body cannot store oxygen, a minute of apnea causes much decline of oxygen in the blood. Apnea that lasts for about three minutes can damage the brain. If the stage continues it can result in death. Only in special conditions like apneic oxygenation or hypothermia can life be sustained longer in the event of an apnea. Without proper training more than two minutes of apnea causes carbon dioxide in the blood to rise and PH level to drop, causing damage to the brain.Apneist is the name given to a person who can stop breathing for longer periods, and expert divers who practice holding breath can remain in the state of apnea up to nine minutes under water. Mammals under water can hold their breath a little longer owing to a survival phenomenon known as mammalian diving reflex. Voluntary hyperventilation causes the carbon dioxide in the blood to rise, due to which the respiratory centre is not stimulated in time and breathlessness is not felt. Divers use hyperventilation to hold their breath for longer time in water owing to this factor. It is however dangerous because before they breathe the blood has lost all oxygen, causing unconsciousness. Blackout under water can cause serious accidents and drowning.Apneic oxygenation is exchange of gases between lungs and blood that continues even during the state of apnea. It is a phenomenon in which the level of oxygen absorbed is more than carbon dioxide released, and the lungs collapse. If pure oxygen is breathed in before apnea the individual can survive up to an hour in that state and the technique can be used in case of emergencies. Respiratory acidosis is a condition that can occur due to accumulation of carbon dioxide in the body tissues in course of apneic oxygenation. Brain death is a condition in which an individual is unable to breathe without life support systems. When there is cessation of breath during sleep the condition is known as sleep apnea. It occurs because the level of oxygen in blood decreases on account of some blocks in the air passage through mouth or nose, due to the tongue or uvula, structure of the jaw, swelling or relaxing of certain muscles etc. Pause that lasts up to 10 second can be considered apnea, if it repeats through out the night. Patients of sleep apnea suffer from daytime sleepiness and confusions that result from lack of proper rest. Their work and relations suffer due the irritability, lethargy and lack of concentration that set in as a result of prolonged periods of sleeplessness. Snoring is a common feature among the patients of this ailment and during the apnea there is a pause in snoring, which resumes once the individual gasps for breath and starts respiration.Obstructive sleep apnea occurs during the night in the form of cessation of breath Central sleep apnea occurs when the nerves are not strong enough to control the respiratory system due to use of central respiratory depressants like alcohol and other sedatives. It can be dangerous for someone who already suffers from sleep apnea to use a central respiratory depressant. Central sleep apnea is also seen in infants, particularly those who are born prematurely. Complex sleep apnea is the combination of both obstructive and central sleep apnea.

Pubic Hair Removal - Tips When Shaving by Mike Jones

October 24th, 2008 by admin

Never use the old-fashioned switch-blade razor. It is quite unsuitable for pubic hair removal and can be dangerous.

Choose a female razor, obtainable from Wilkinson Sword or other well known razor manufacturers, rather than an ordinary safety razor. The design makes it much more difficult to cut yourself.

Opt for a more expensive good quality razor rather than a cheap throw away which is more likely to cause nicks, soreness and razor burns in this sensitive area.

If the pubic hair is thick and long use small scissors to trim down the hair to about a quarter of an inch. This will avoid blunting and clogging the razor too quickly.

Wet a large, washcloth and lay it over the entire pubic area for two or three minutes.

Alternatively, take a long hot bath or stay in the shower for a while making sure the pubic area receives a lot of water. Pubic hair is coarser than head hair and needs more time to soften when carrying out pubic hair removal.

Apply plenty of shaving foam or gel over the area and leave for a few minutes to soften further. Ordinary soap is not suitable as it does not lock in the moisture to the hair the way a shaving preparation cream or gel does.

Experiment with different brands if you find some cause skin irritation. They contain various chemicals and you need to find one that suits you.

Pull the skin straight with your free hand and shave without applying pressure.

Shave upwards against the direction of the hair growth.

Make sure there is shaving foam on the skin each time you make a stroke with the razor.

Shaving bare skin can cause razor burn and can be especially painful in pubic hair removal.

Rinse the razor every couple of strokes as it will clog easily.

Rinse off and see any areas that may have been missed and again apply gel to that area and shave.

Massage unscented Vitamin E oil into the pubic area after shaving.

To stop or reduce itching after shaving rub an ice cube over the area.

Alternatively, rub a little baby oil into the pubic area.

If you suffer from itchiness or blood spots, let the hair grow back for a week before shaving again.

Keep the shaven area well moisturized between shaves by using a skin moisturizer or baby lotion. This will reduce the uncomfortable effect the stubble may cause between shaves.

Mens Sex Health - Premature Ejaculation Herbal Support

Mens Sex Health - Premature Ejaculation Herbal Support
by jainish

Premature ejaculation is basically a common complaint of many young men. Many of their partners feel very frustrated by this situation too. Young men oftenly become very sexually aroused quite quickly; touch their hand and they have an erection. While this is the flattering for his partner, its not essentially very satisfying for a sexual relationship.

By the way, the average male takes less than the three minutes from the time of insertion until he ejaculates. According to the technical definition, premature ejaculation is ejaculation that occurs at prior to the when a man wishes or too quickly during intercourse to satisfy the partner. This typically leads to the loss of a usable erection for the simple reason that their discharge has temporarily released a state of elevated sexual tension.

What can a guy do? There are a few very simple things that will really help: First, he can masturbate before he goes out with his partner and this will make him really able to last longer. (Just a idea, but it does work). Understanding male sexual responses helps and If a guy ejaculates more quickly, he is going to lose his erection, and this refractory phase will last about of fifteen to twenty five minutes in a young man. There is actually nothing either person can do to trigger to another erection.

During the refractory phase then he can stimulate his partner by including: kissing, cuddling, hugging, petting, stimulating her breasts and genitals. After twenty minutes of stimulation she may be very sexually aroused and he will surely probably have another erection.

As a guy ages, his refractory phase gets much longer. Many guys learn to control the ejaculation by practicing the Kegel exercises” on a regular basis. Go to Kegel Exercises for more on doing those.

Women often feel that they should be in fact able to do something to help him or that they are doing something very wrong. Essentially, this is his ’situation’, and he needs to solve it himself. But, you can talk to him about it and lessen the expectation that he must sexually satisfy you every time.

HOW ALCOHOL AFFECTS THE BRAIN.

October 19th, 2008 by admin

I once had the unusual, though unhappy, opportunity of observing the same phenomenon in the brain structure of a man, who, in a paroxysm of alcoholic excitement, decapitated himself under the wheel of a railway carriage, and whose brain was instantaneously evolved from the skull by the crash. The brain itself, entire, was before me within three minutes after the death. It exhaled the odor of spirit most distinctly, and its membranes and minute structures were vascular in the extreme. It looked as if it had been recently injected with vermilion. The white matter of the cerebrum, studded with red points, could scarcely be distinguished, when it was incised, by its natural whiteness; and the pia-mater, or internal vascular membrane covering the brain, resembled a delicate web of coagulated red blood, so tensely were its fine vessels engorged.

I should add that this condition extended through both the larger and the smaller brain, the cerebrum and cerebellum, but was not so marked in the medulla or commencing portion of the spinal cord.

The spinal cord and nerves.
————————–

The action of alcohol continued beyond the first stage, the function of the spinal cord is influenced. Through this part of the nervous system we are accustomed, in health, to perform automatic acts of a mechanical kind, which proceed systematically even when we are thinking or speaking on other subjects. Thus a skilled workman will continue his mechanical work perfectly, while his mind is bent on some other subject; and thus we all perform various acts in a purely automatic way, without calling in the aid of the higher centres, except something more than ordinary occurs to demand their service, upon which we think before we perform. Under alcohol, as the spinal centres become influenced, these pure automatic acts cease to be correctly carried on. That the hand may reach any object, or the foot be correctly planted, the higher intellectual centre must be invoked to make the proceeding secure. There follows quickly upon this a deficient power of co-ordination of muscular movement. The nervous control of certain of the muscles is lost, and the nervous stimulus is more or less enfeebled. The muscles of the lower lip in the human subject usually fail first of all, then the muscles of the lower limbs, and it is worthy of remark that the extensor muscles give way earlier than the flexors. The muscles themselves, by this time, are also failing in power; they respond more feebly than is natural to the nervous stimulus; they, too, are coming under the depressing influence of the paralyzing agent, their structure is temporarily deranged, and their contractile power reduced.

This modification of the animal functions under alcohol, marks the second degree of its action. In young subjects, there is now, usually, vomiting with faintness, followed by gradual relief from the burden of the poison.

Effect on the brain centres.
—————————-

The alcoholic spirit carried yet a further degree, the cerebral or brain centres become influenced; they are reduced in power, and the controlling influences of will and of judgment are lost. As these centres are unbalanced and thrown into chaos, the rational part of the nature of the man gives way before the emotional, passional or organic part. The reason is now off duty, or is fooling with duty, and all the mere animal instincts and sentiments are laid atrociously bare. The coward shows up more craven, the braggart more boastful, the cruel more merciless, the untruthful more false, the carnal more degraded. ‘ In vino veritas ‘ expresses, even, indeed, to physiological accuracy, the true condition. The reason, the emotions, the instincts, are all in a state of carnival, and in chaotic feebleness.

Finally, the action of the alcohol still extending, the superior brain centres are overpowered; the senses are beclouded, the voluntary muscular prostration is perfected, sensibility is lost, and the body lies a mere log, dead by all but one-fourth, on which alone its life hangs. The heart still remains true to its duty, and while it just lives it feeds the breathing power. And so the circulation and the respiration, in the otherwise inert mass, keeps the mass within the bare domain of life until the poison begins to pass away and the nervous centres to revive again. It is happy for the inebriate that, as a rule, the brain fails so long before the heart that he has neither the power nor the sense to continue his process of destruction up to the act of death of his circulation. Therefore he lives to die another day.

Anti snoring with snoring treatment

October 18th, 2008 by admin

Breathing is a process which intakes oxygen into the body and delivers out carbon dioxide. In medical terms, normal breathing is termed as eupnoea whereas a brief pause in breathing is termed as Apnea. These long stops are usually normal in his or her way of breathing and are also caused by other sleep-related problems. The respiration muscles are idle and movement doesn’t happen when it is in apnea stage. Also the lung’s volume does not change during the initial moment. The cellular respiration and the exchange of gas between the lungs have no chance to get affected depending on its openness of airways. This disorder can be achieved voluntarily by holding the breath, by inducing drug, by inducing mechanically. They are also referred to strangulation and explicate as a result of trauma or any neurological disorders.

‘Apnea’ word comes from a Greek origin which means “without air”. People are not well equipped to identify the difference between snoring and apnea. Although all human beings have their breathing pauses in a normal condition, this apnea turns out to be a problem when the breathing count stops about 20 seconds or even longer. As oxygen cannot be stored much in the human body under normal circumstances, apnea causes lack of oxygen severely in blood circulation. It may even cause complete brain damage as minimum to three minutes or if the ventilation is not restored within a few minutes after it, death occurs inevitably.
