Hypnosis Can Help You To Swiftly Quit Smoking

If you are trying to quit smoking, you know how challenging it is to overcome this damaging habit. It is possible however, and half of all adult smokers quit smoking forever. Many smokers succeed in quitting smoking cigarettes by replacing them with different, positive habits without having to suffer through withdrawal symptoms. By far, the most effective and easiest method to quit smoking and achieve this end is stop smoking hypnosis. Stop smoking hypnotherapy is one of the most frequently practiced forms of hypnosis. It is often cited as a tool to stop smoking along with strategies such as nicotine replacement therapy and other popular techniques. It helps end the smoking addiction by combating cravings to smoke, keeping you committed to quitting, and promoting stress relief and relaxation so you will not be tempted to smoke. The smoking addiction contains both physiological and psychological aspects. The physiological addiction is a physical addiction the body develops to nicotine. This aspect of the addiction is what causes the physical withdrawal symptoms that make it initially feel near impossible to quit smoking. However, this is a short, temporary stage in the overall process of quitting the habit, lasting only between three days and one week. By the end of this period of time, your body adjusts to normal, nicotine-free functioning. Based on thirty years of experience, I believe that the physical addiction to nicotine makes up a mere ten percent of the addiction to cigarette smoking.By far, the most challenging part of breaking the smoking addiction is overcoming the psychological addiction, which are the mental and emotional aspects of smoking. I believe this constitutes ninety percent of the smoking addiction. When you develop a smoking habit, you develop an unconscious desire to smoke at certain times, such as every morning after breakfast. This is called a conditioned response. Stop smoking hypnosis works to eliminate the unconscious associations that cause one to crave cigarettes, thereby eliminating the conditioned compulsion to smoke. Hypnosis also helps you stay motivated to quit smoking by strengthening your ideas that gave you the desire to quit smoking in the first place. Smokers get stuck in the ritual of lighting up and smoking. This is why many people who try to quit smoking using nicotine patches or gums alone are unable to successfully quit. They rapidly overcome the physical withdrawal, but they have no replacement or relief for the ritual of smoking, which has become a psychological addiction and comforting source of stress relief. Self hypnosis techniques eliminate this habit and serve as stress reducers as well. As a relaxation tool, hypnosis helps effectively relieve stress and anxiety so you will lose the desire to smoke cigarettes.By adding some effective NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) techniques, quit smoking hypnosis can keep you motivated to stop smoking by training your unconscious to focus on the benefits of quitting. Eliminating tobacco benefits you in a great number of ways. Within days of quitting, body parts damaged by smoking begin to heal, damaged nerves re-grow, and your sense of taste and smell improves. Within weeks, lung function and blood circulation improve. Within one year, your risk of heart disease is less than half that of a smoker. Within five to fifteen years, your risk of having a stroke is the same as a non-smoker. Your risk of death from lung cancer and a number of other cancer risks have decreased, and your risk of heart disease is the same as someone who has never smoked at all.In spite of the dangers of smoking and the benefits of quitting, some smokers never overcome their addiction. For the most part, this is because they’ve never seriously made a decision to quit. Other smokers are often afraid to experience withdrawal symptoms or let go of the smoking habit. However, quitting smoking does not have to be the difficult process that makes so many smokers unwilling to even try quitting. Hypnosis is a very simple, natural technique for quitting. Hypnosis for quitting smoking is a powerful tool for crushing cravings for cigarettes, providing powerful motivation, and promoting relaxation and stress relief to completely eliminate the psychological aspects of the smoking habit. Stop smoking hypnotherapy techniques can be learned from specialized self-hypnosis CDs that have been developed after decades of experience using hypnosis, Neuro-VISION video hypnotherapy, and NLP to get clients to quit smoking.Hypnotherapy CDs make it easy to quit smoking forever because they break the smoking habit in a process that helps extinguish cravings and the desire to smoke. Whatever your motivation is for quitting, hypnotherapy makes it easier to focus your mind on these reasons, which makes you feel a strong urge to quit. Stop smoking hypnotherapy CDs eliminate the impulse to smoke. Even though quitting smoking can be a painful and unsuccessful endeavor for some, those who utilize quit smoking self hypnosis CDs have a much greater rate of success because it makes the process a ’slam-dunk’. It is the most effective method for smoke cessation.

Quit Smoking With Hypnosis

October 29th, 2008 by admin

Can you really “permanently” stop smoking?

There is a profound difference between a smoker who has stopped smoking and a non-smoker. The smoker courageously resists having a cigarette, but the non-smoker can’t think of anything worse than smoking.

You’ve probably heard people who have quit smoking 10 years ago still say “Every time I have a beer or coffee I still want a cigarette” – if you are trying to stop smoking those are very disheartening words to hear!

But it simply means is that they only quit smoking at a conscious level - that is, they deliberately and consciously decided to stop, and stopped, and their abstinence is sustained only through their will power. However, subconsciously, smoking is still an attractive prospect for them, and that is where smoking needs to be tackled.

If you’re going to quit smoking, do it right!

There are a million and one ways to stop smoking – from nicotine patches and chewing gum, to tablets, lozenges, inhalers and Zyban, the stop smoking drug. In addition, there are plenty of people out there willing to tell you how to stop smoking - quit tips are everywhere. But they all miss one vital component - the subconscious mind.

If you are going to make the effort to free yourself from the terrible effects of smoking, why not do it right? Use a proper smoking cessation program that will leave you free of the desire to smoke.

Smoking Cessation Program

This program will gently move your mind from its current craving state to complete freedom from cigarettes.

You will no longer be controlled by the need to smoke. No more planning your day so you can smoke, no more running outside at work or at parties, no more worrying whether you have enough cigarettes left.

Smoking-cessation methods that treat smoking as an addiction (nicotine patches, nicotine gum, and so on) have a very low success rate, acknowledged to be around 23%. The makers of the drug Zyban state that the drug is only effective if it is taken in conjunction with ‘psychological intervention’.

A smoker’s mental state must be stable and requires will power to end the dependency. I deliberately call it a dependency and not an addiction. You have seen that an addict must take the drug in just enough amounts to temporarily satisfy the craving, but a smoker doesn’t. An effective treatment of smoking dependency must take into account this fact – that the smoker is not really an addict.

Yes, you heard right!

When many smokers are told during their smoking cessation program that they can keep smoking they are quite surprised:

“You continue to smoke while you progress through the program. You only quit when you don’t want to smoke anymore.”

Now, isn’t that easier on the smoker? Definitely! Does the smoker need to have extraordinary will power to break the habit? Of course not! By connecting the smoker with her sub-conscious she can identify the source of her habit, acknowledge it and then make the choice to stop smoking.

Consult a Hypnotherapist

For effective and permanent results, it is best that you consult and work with a qualified Hypnotherapist. Such a professional is well trained in helping you with your smoking dependency. It would be fruitless to attempt self-hypnosis with a flawed understanding and cause yourself frustration, and in the end find yourself still having not kicked that smoking habit.

How To Stop-smoking with Hypnosis

How To Stop-smoking with Hypnosis

Want to stop-smoking? Try hypnosis. If you think of hypnosis as someone who is swinging a pendulum and telling you that your eyes are getting heavy, think again. Hypnosis is a way to give you subliminal suggestions. You will not feel anything but a state of total relaxation. Hypnosis has a very successful track record when it comes to getting people to stop-smoking. Many people feel that it works well to get rid of both the mental and physical addiction to nicotine. Cigarette smoking is the most addictive substance there is. It is no small wonder that people find it so difficult to stop-smoking - it is more addictive than heroin. When you do stop-smoking, you can celebrate each day like it is a milestone. The hypnosis will work subtly. You will not feel that you are hypnotized. The only sensation that you will understand is that you do not want to have a cigarette. This is all done with the power of suggestion and aversion therapy. After being hypnotized, you will find that you do not have the cravings for a cigarette. If, out of force of habit, you got to pick up a cigarette, you will find that you do not want to smoke. In this way, hypnotism helps you to stop-smoking. Once you finally stop-smoking, you will notice a whole new world open to you. No longer will you be relegated to the cold streets when you want to have a cigarette. No longer will you be huddled outside of doorways. You will no longer feel like a social pariah once you finally stop-smoking. Can you do it? Of course you can. You just have to have the will to stop-smoking and a little bit of help. This is where hypnosis comes in. Hypnosis gives you the mind power to stop-smoking and allows you to rid yourself of the uncomfortable cravings for a cigarette. The cigarette cravings are why many people fail when they try to stop-smoking. The cravings can be so intense that people find that they have to give in. They are likened to hunger pains in how they feel. This can be one reason why people who stop-smoking tend to gain weight. When you use hypnosis to stop-smoking, you will not feel the cravings, so not only will you stop-smoking, but you will not gain the weight that often accompanies quitting the addiction. If you truly want to stop-smoking, try hypnosis. Through the subliminal suggestions that are given during a hypnosis session, you can thus end your addiction to nicotine. Best of all, you will not feel the pangs and cravings that many others feel when the stop-smoking. Once you are smoke free, you will wonder why you ever smoked in the first place. You, too, can stop-smoking. You have to first have the mindset that you want to stop. Enlist the aid of friends and others who have also stopped smoking and avoid places or situations that will tempt you to smoke.

Hypnosis - Does It Help Or Hurt Recovery? | Content for Reprint

October 18th, 2008 by admin

You are getting relaxed and intensly concentrate on my words…hypnonsis can be very effective. This form of natural healing has a long history of use; with there even being evidence to suggest that ancient societies used forms of hypnosis in religious rituals. There are many professionals that continue to use including psychologists, psychiatrists and by certified hypnosis therapists.1. Prejudices About HypnosisHypnosis is most often related to entertaining stage shows where an audience participant is hypnotized and then does crazy things, like pretending to be a chicken. Hypnosis is also thought of by some as a tool to use to aid with the cessation of smoking. Hypnosis can be much more than a form of entertainment of a tool of self-help. Hypnosis can also be used to aid in the recovery of illnesses and injuries. 2. Forms Of HypnosisAs with the medical field, there are many different forms of hypnosis. In one form of hypnosis, guided imagery is used. With this form, hypnotist guides the person into a relaxed state. This relaxed state is usually accomplished by helping the person visualize his stress and release it. Hypnotism can also be done through the use of direct suggestion. Through direct suggestion, the hypnotist puts the patient into a trance and repeatedly tells him to feel a certain way. Since the patient is more receptive to suggestion while in this trancelike state, he is easily convinced by direct suggestion. 3. Pain ReliefHypnosis has been shown to aid individuals with pain relief. In fact, clinical studies have shown it to help relieve pain in patients suffering from cancer, burns and leukemia. It has also been shown to reduce pain in women undergoing childbirth and in dental patients undergoing dental procedures. Hypnosis has been shown to be an excellent alternative to individuals who do not wish to use highly addictive pain relievers, such as morphine, to relieve chronic pain. In fact, hypnosis has been used by some patients as the only analgesic while undergoing cardiac, abdominal, genitourinary, and breast surgery. Amazingly, those who use hypnosis rather than medicine for pain relief found their relief to be far superior.4. ChildbirthExamples of those who use hypnotism are woman to reduce pain during childbirth, and cancer patients claim that hypnotism reduces pain while undergoing chemotherapy. In addition, many cancer patients believe hypnotism helped them recover from the disease.5. Hospital IllnessHypnotism has had such amazing results that major hospitals are even beginning to use hypnotism to help patients relieve pain and recover from illness more quickly. In fact, the University of North Carolina uses hypnotism to help patients control irritable bowel syndrome. 6. RecoveryLots of research has been done on the road to recovery on this subject. Much research has been performed in the effects of hypnosis in recovery. One study was published several years ago that found that hypnotism before surgery helped patients require less pain medication. These patients also experienced fewer complications and were able to leave the hospital quicker than patients who did not receive hypnosis. If you look at brain research, hypnotism actually alters brain functioning and activates specific regions of the brain to control ability to focus and pay attention.

Quit Smoking In One Hour | Content for Reprint

Every smoker and former smoker know that the humble cigarette provides a hundred daily uses. It is hard for non-smokers to understand the extent to which smokers develop an emotional attachment with their habit. A non-smoker see it as just a bad habit, whereas smokers are well aware that cigarettes in some way have become part of their identity. Millions of smokers can testify that they packed in a long-term habit overnight, and never desired another cigarette again. Many aids have been developed to help smokers give up the habit, so it is quite ironic that one of the most common thoughts on most smokers mind is how to stop smoking. Every smoker know all the reasons why they should quit, but still struggle to take the final decision.Telling a smoker that they are harming themselves does not tell them how to quit. One of the methods that work very well is hypnosis which is a legitimate method and not pseudo science.A supposition would be that smoking is a physical addiction, and that is true to some extent. But, smoking is a psychological addiction first and foremost and that is precisely why one would recommend using hypnosis to quit smoking. This is not new information, it has been known since very long and hypnosis for quitting smoking is as effective as products that help you stop smoking. For hypnosis most use help from a hypnotherapist who first check how responsive you are, then slowly takes you into a dreamlike state. A hypnosis session is a process where the therapeutist puts the patient into the right mode and advises him or her not to smoke. There has been much research conducted concerning the hypnosis treatments, and the result is that hypnosis treatments are just as effective as any variant of stop smoking products. There is a discussion and arguments to whether or not hypnosis quit smoking treatments are actually useful in the long term. A smoker that is looking for ways to quit smoking because someone else is constantly telling them to stop then it is unlikely that hypnosis will help. Any other method will also fail to make them to stop.An efficient treatment will result in a smoke free person, but for how long? Most smokers have experienced it several times, they have been down the road to quitting for good, then suddenly they start again. How come this happens? It is because addiction is very clever and deeply rooted and it works at an unconscious level. So even a strong conviction can after some time be severely hit by addiction. It has waited until you are at a low point, and then addiction strikes. Suddenly you find yourself making up the most incredibly creative reasons for why it is OK to have just one cigarette more. To celebrate something is the usual way to fraud yourself. It certainly is a profound difference between a smoker that has stopped smoking and a non-smoker. The smoker courageously resists having a cigarette, while the non-smoker could not think of anything worse than smoking. It is very common that former smokers show very strong negative reactions against smoking and smokers. If you are serious and want to make the effort to free yourself from the terrible effects of smoking, why not do it right? You should use a proper smoking cessation program that will leave you free of the desire to smoke. Here is where the quit smoking hypnosis works great.

The Amazing Way To Quit Smoking In Just 30 Minutes A Day | Content for Reprint

October 18th, 2008 by admin

It frequently happens for people to mention hypnotherapy in relation to successful efforts to quit smoking. Indeed, hypnosis is one of the systems most recurrently preferred by persons who have made an objective out of quitting smoking. Those who have quit in this manner could lay money on this technique. The number-one advantage is in the fact that the majority of people can undergo hypnosis. The function of a hypnotherapy session or sessions is to generate a slight sleeping condition to allow for the quit-smoking implications offered by the therapist to offer substitutes for the need to smoke. In addition, the therapist will suggest other activities to satisfy this craving to smoke.Generally, people need only a single session to free themselves from the habit of smoking. Nevertheless, the number of sessions necessary does vary and depends upon both the patient and the hypnotist. As a result, other people may need up to four hypnotherapy sessions to quit smoking. Depending on your choice and that of your therapist, you have the possibility of in-group sessions or individual sessions. However, the individual option has a superior achievement tempo as compared to in-group approaches. Moreover, a regular one-on-one meeting lasts anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour, while in-group meetings can extend to several hours. The second great advantage of quitting smoking by means of hypnotherapy is in the fact that it does not require medication. In this manner, patients are able to maintain their body free of chemicals while eliminating the toxic habit of smoking. Such an advantage appears in an enhanced light when you come to consider the fact that you might remove such a damaging routine with only one consultation with the hypnotist. In addition, hypnosis is a reliable approach for people who would like to stop smoking but just cannot do it out of lack of willpower and strength of mind. Throughout a hypnosis session, your therapist will set approved suggestions into your hidden brainpower to assist you in the process of prevailing over your smoking addiction. Subsequently, the suggestions set into your subconscious mind by your therapist will relate to the elimination of your yearning for tobacco. Essentially, you will come to experience no anxieties related to the need of your body for tobacco. In this manner, after the session is over, you will not sense any forced dispossession of anything. The success of hypnosis treatments is in you allowing the suggestions to be effective. In essence, anyone should be able to undergo hypnotic sessions to remove smoking habits. Nevertheless, the patient should not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Moreover, the person undergoing hypnosis should be willing to do it. Do not opt for hypnosis merely because you feel forced by someone else to do it. In such cases, where you do not feel the confidence that hypnosis is good for you, hypnotherapy will not yield the anticipated positive results. Many people ask about the manner in which they could be certain that hypnotherapy will have an effect (a positive one, of course) upon their smoking behavior. The power of hypnosis resides in it being able to work against specific smoking triggers. In one session, your subconscious mind may prove able to recognize and stamp out particular circumstances that activate the desire to smoke. Moreover, through hypnotic sessions, you will experience an incredible relief of pressure (i.e. stress), known to be a major factor in causing people to smoke.By means of the suggestions substituting the need to smoke, the mind is able to categorize and remove potential anxieties related to the elimination of smoking. Such anxieties regularly connect to the misleading myth that once you quit smoking you immediately put on weight; however, these are mere pretexts for not quitting. In other words, by means of the agreed suggestions placed into your subconscious mind, hypnosis will unshackle the patient from smoking-removal fears. On top, it will provide the individual with new, substituting behaviors, visibly reflected in enhanced poise and serenity. Hypnosis works fundamentally because it makes it possible for you to trust your own power to quit. After the session, the patient will feel fine, stress-free and with a sense of increased self-confidence. As far as the authentic experience of undergoing hypnosis, it is very intricate to describe, since it ranges somewhere between sleep and consciousness. In any case, the hypnotic trance (as many people describe the feeling) is similar to an incredibly agreeable condition of respite, a modified position of perception to which individuals have access in order to place preferred positive suggestions for the use of the subconscious mind. In this manner, one could describe hypnosis as a natural, successful method of establishing contact with one %26#39;s unconscious self and of making an agreement with it. Our subconscious mind can be a starting place for many of our troubles, but it can also stand for a fantastic source of unknown latent power and understanding of one %26#39;s both weak and strong points.Because hypnotherapy is entirely natural and harmless, there is no probability of detrimental results. In the hands of a competently educated and expert hypnotist, you have the guarantee of permanently eliminating your smoking behavior. Moreover, consider the fact that you do not lose control of yourself throughout a session of hypnosis for eliminating smoking habits. On the contrary, you may take notice of everything said. However, it is not necessary for you to listen to it if you do not want to. You will acknowledge only what you want to acknowledge. Finally, the encouraging aspect to keep in mind is that even if hypnotherapy feels different for distinct individuals, it always feels enjoyable. Of course, one should not fear that the therapist could place any undesired suggestions in one %26#39;s subconscious mind. The entire enjoyable aspect lies in the patient %26#39;s strength to accept or reject the suggestions provided. At the end of the session, you will walk liberated of your need to smoke. Consider this concluding remark: When you have such a safe, natural alternative at hand, why should you not go for it?
