Skin Care for Beautiful Ageless Skin

October 24th, 2008 by admin

You love New York, but your face finds it fierce. You adore Aspen, but the air is too thin for skin. You’re mad about Martinique, but your hair hates the humidity.

Traditional washes, lotions, shampoos and conditioners may be too heavy in the heat of a tropical isle, too drying in the high altitude and low oxygen of a mountain retreat, or devoid of protective natural barrier oils necessary to combat city pollutants.

Looking at how native plants thrive despite harsh conditions in their respective environments, Solavie® Eco-Global Skin/Hair system offers a stunningly simple solution — skin and hair care products that are formulated for your body’s reaction to environmental conditions. The company uses phytonutrients from indigenous plants in formulas developed for each of the six different Enviro-types®: Mountains, Urban, Tropics, Shore, Plains %26 Desert. Using Nature to nurture means that no skin or hair analysis is necessary, and traditional “typing” becomes obsolete.

Solavie has you covered, no matter what your domain or destination. Vitamin E, A, and Evening Primrose oils provide the protection needed in urban areas, while St. John’s Wort, Lavender and Echinacea revitalize in mountains climes. Yarrow extract, Chamomile and Geranium oils soothe skin and hair in the plains. Sage oil, Rosemary, Yucca extracts and Aloe super-hydrate in the desert. Neroli and Cypress oils retain moisture and breathability at the shore. Finally, Ylang-ylang, Jasmine and Sandalwood counteract the bacteria and humidity of the tropics.

That’s just a fraction of the list of potent botanicals that make Solavie products both gentle and effective. All products also contain powerful anti-oxidants to treat cellular imbalances and premature aging. And instead of the chemically-stripped neutral water found in most personal care products, Solavie uses exclusive, naturally super-charged volcanic spring water loaded with minerals and trace elements to boost the performance of the phytonutrients and antioxidants.

It all adds up to a simple approach where fewer products and steps are needed to maintain optimal fitness and balance in hair or skin cells. Each Solavie Enviro-type® system is a total body, face and hair care system comprised of just five products: Face Wash, Face Nourish, Body and Hair Wash, Body Nourish, and Hair Nourish/Style. All formulas feature fresh, natural scents that appeal equally to women and men.

The idea for Solavie came, quite literally, out of thin air to Pamela Rae, founder. Clients with different skin types visiting the spa from all over the globe all had the same complaint: their skin and hair products were ineffective at Sun Valley’s high altitude. And thus was born Solavie, the first unisex skin/hair system based on the body’s response to its natural surroundings.

“The intelligence of Nature is truly remarkable, and the secret life of plants has much to teach us,” says Rae. “Eighty percent of all skin and hair reactions are caused by the environment, not by internal factors, so it makes sense to turn to Nature’s most resilient plant life for solutions.”

Solavie’s packaging is as unique as the formulas themselves. A patented yin-yang bottling system allow any two bottles to snap together, for easy packing and space saving. The rigid side wall structure prevents bursting during flight, and is perfect for rugged adventure travel.

From start to finish, Solavie prides itself on its eco-friendly attitude. There is zero outer packaging, and bottles fit together for shipping to save resources from trees to packing materials to trucks to fuel. The unique bottles and caps are 100% recyclable, and all ingredients are bio-degradable.

Nearly 100% of Solavie profits are invested in Solavie Second Nature Foundation, whose mission is to fund projects that promote sustainable business practices and the cultivation of talent in children around the world.

Solavie products are available at (need info) and may be purchased online at www.solavie.com.
