Basic Tanning Bed Supplies by Larry Scott

October 29th, 2008 by admin

Getting a dynamite tan in the privacy of your own home may sound simple — buy a tanning bed, plug it in, and tan — but don’t forget to buy the right tanning bed supplies as well.

No matter what brand of tanning bed you buy, you will need to purchase certain basic tanning bed supplies, including:

* Tanning bed cleaners

* Eye goggles

* Tanning lotion

* Extra bulbs

Even if you are not sharing your tanning bed with anyone, it is important to properly clean the bed after each use to remove body oils and tanning lotion from the surface. A dirty surface can refract the ultraviolet (UV) light and can lead to uneven tanning and may even harm the bed’s finish.

Eye goggles are necessary to protect your eyes from unintentional harm from the UV rays. Just like when tanning outdoors, prolonged exposure can actually burn your eyes.

Tanning lotions serve a dual purpose. First, they are designed to aid in the tanning process by allowing your skin to tan darker with less exposure to UV rays and by adding much needed moisture to your skin.

Last, it is a good idea to keep a full set of extra bulbs on hand. While most tanning bed bulbs are guaranteed to provide a certain number of hours of consistent tanning, occasionally, a bulb will burn out at the most inopportune time. By having bulbs on hand, you won’t have to miss a tanning session while picking up or ordering new ones. Additionally, it is always a good idea to replace all of the bulbs at the same time. The tanning bed lights tend to lose efficiency with use, so changing bulbs randomly can lead to uneven tanning.

An optional tanning bed supply you may want to invest in is tanning bed pillows and stickers. For many, laying on a flat surface for a prolonged period of time can lead to backaches. A pillow can relieve some of the pressure and make your tanning experience more enjoyable. Tanning stickers are a great way to keep track of how much of a tan you have received over time, and they are an inexpensive extra that can be fun and even decorative.

By purchasing the right tanning bed supplies you can make your tanning experience more enjoyable and prolong the life of your bed.

Vigomobil - Enhances Ejaculation Function

Vigomobil - Enhances Ejaculation Function

ED- Reasons, Causes and Advice-:Considered as a social taboo for years, ED is no longer held responsible for psychological reasons or ripping of age. A more distinct and scientific rationalization explains physical factors as a more staunch reason for inadequate ejaculation function or precisely, ED. Nonetheless, ED is pinned down on more serious underlying conditions such as heart disease, which can take a toll on health, eventually. To cut down shortly the other causes of ED are several, which incorporates clogged blood vessels, high blood pressure, Diabetics, obesity, tobacco usage, prescription medications, alcoholism, hormonal disorders, multiple sclerosis, and much more. Hence, it is advisable to consider ED as a more serious issue and seek viable solution in time. How erectile dysfunction happens?Scientific explanation shows that the penis has two cylindrical, sponge like structure, that runs in a line parallel to the tube, carrying semen and urine. Now when the person is getting sexually aroused, the blood rushes to the cylinders, thus boosting an abrupt expansion of the sponge-like structure, thus letting the penis stand erect with stiffness. For the prolonged period of sexual excitement, the influx of blood to the penis remains high, thus maintaining the erection and firmness of the penis. After the person reaches orgasm, thus ejaculating to his satisfaction, the phase of excitement passes draining out the excess blood from the penis, making it return to its non-erect size and shape. However, those suffering from erectile dysfunction lack the above function normally. Addressed as a very common problem with men with the growing days, a wide survey was conducted to understand the gravity of the problem. It shows that 1 out of every 10 men suffer from ED and about 30 million of the population solely in United States are victims of ED. Diabetic patients are more likely to suffer the curse of ED and statistics reveal that about 50 out of every hundred are the victims. Age plays hostile to your sexual capability and about 39 percent at the age of 40 and 65% at the age of 65% are the obvious victims. Survey also shows that a wide range of drugs affects erectile function. The drugs include antidepressants, antihistamines, and other medications to treat high blood pressure and also pain and prostrate cancer. However, these drugs have counter effect on sexual health and thus deteriorate libido capability. Some are prone to the usage of marijuana, alcohol and other drugs. These also bring drastic impact on the erection, thus leading to the total blunder of erectile dysfunction and sluggish sexual drive to a saturated point. Hence, a number of medicinal pills and drugs are crucially responsible for deficit in sexual order. Nonetheless, a number of ways to combat the problem by infusing life with a disciplinary sense like regular exercises, reduction of stress, avoidance of illegal drugs, avoidance of smoking and adequate sleep, would help. But the most important issue above all is that you should communicate freely with your partner. A Better advice to get rid of ED problem Erectile dysfunction is a very common problem with millions of men world wide. There are a number of ways to counter the problem, but with very little effect. In this regard, Vigomobil has shown the most positive signs of improvement and many are leading a normal sexual life with its usage. It works by promoting the growth of spermatozoa in the testes, thus enhancing the ejaculation function. The overall virility, sexual appetite and the hormonal ability are boosted to a great extent, thus enabling you to give the adequate satisfaction to your partner. At this stage, the sperm count is remarkably increased to a volume of 500% without any mark of side effects. Only one or two tablets are 30 to 60 minutes prior to sexual activity. But is strictly forbidden for individuals below 18 years. Proactiv Solution Review

Proactiv Solution Review

It would be unreasonable to speak about acne treatments without discussing Proactiv Solution. It is without a doubt the most widespread and most commonly used acne treatment on the market today. However, with all the marketing, referrals and sales pitches found in a search there aren’t many sufficiently informative reviews available on the product. So I have decided to remedy this…

Let’s start with the formalities: Proactiv Solution was developed by dermatologists in the early 1990s and released as an acne treatment in 1995. The treatment kit is comprised of 3 separate solutions; a cleanser, a toner, and a repairing lotion.

The cleanser is used to clean the skin from dirt, oils, and bacteria. The toner is used to maintain this level of cleanliness and to continue to prevent the build-up of sebum and bacteria for a prolonged period of time. The repairing lotion is as it sounds; it is used to repair skin damaged by blemishes or acne scars.

Proactiv Solution has generally had a positive result against acne for the majority of people that have used it, including me. For severe sufferers, it will usually reduce the severity and frequency of breakouts, although in most cases it will not clear your acne completely. For mild sufferers who are not against the use of non-natural products or cosmetics, Proactiv is probably the best choice of treatment on the market.

I want to emphasize my use of the word “non-natural”. There are other treatments available that are all natural and will show similar effectiveness, though these are less known and usually either unpleasant or more expensive. If you are looking for a holistic acne treatment, Proactiv is not the product for you.

In general, the cleanser works much like an exfoliator in that it clears away the dirt, oil and dead cells on the skin surface. It is fairly effective in doing this and your skin usually feels quite small after a wash with this cleanser, but in my experience a generic face wash specifically designed as an exfoliant is usually more effective and less expensive.

The toner is applied after the skin is washed and is allowed to dry. The purpose of the toner is to apply a layer of benzoyl peroxide to the skin to continue the actions of the cleanser for a longer period of time. It works to keep pores unclogged and to prevent the secretion of excess sebum (keeping the skin oil-free). In doing this, however, you will usually find that unless you apply the toner moderately you skin will dry excessively. If applied too liberally, you will usually see white flakes/powder appear on the skin as the benzoyl peroxide continues to work in excess. For these reasons, it is important that you apply only the amount specified in the instructions or what you have found works for you.

NOTE: If applied properly, any toner in general can assist in making your skin appear healthier and more radiant.

The repairing lotion, I have found, is the most beneficial solution of the Proactiv System. Perhaps there is a more effective combination of ingredients or maybe it is because it is a cream rather than a liquid, but the repairing lotion is quite effective in minimizing the inflammation of a pimple and healing the damaged skin after a breakout. You can usually see an improvement after a day or 2 of using the lotion.

I have always promoted the use of all natural products but the repairing lotion is still the most effective commonly available treatment in healing the skin after breakouts and minimizing acne scars. You can purchase the repairing lotion on its own through external sources but if you are going to do that you may as well purchase the system because the cleanser and toner are still effective products and you should use products similar to this regardless of the brand.

THE ACTIVE INGREDIENT:

The active ingredient in Proactiv, as in many other acne treatment creams, is benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide was first developed by a Revlon scientist in the 1920s to treat acne and is used in concentrations of 2.5 - 10 %. This chemical is absorbed by the skin and a chemical reaction occurs creating free radicals. It works by reducing the amount of sebum released and causing the skin surface to become excessively dry, although a tolerance is usually built after 1-2 weeks of use.

I would like to mention now that if your acne is caused by dry skin, you should probably avoid this product as you will more likely be negatively effected. This is because for some people a burning, itching or irritating sensation occurs. If you try this product and your skin has an adverse reaction you should stop treatment immediately and seek medical/dermatological assistance.

That being said, the benzoyl peroxide concentration in Proactiv is only 2.5%. Research has shown that this concentration is far better tolerated.

This substance will generally reduce the severity of your acne while it is in use but once the benzoyl peroxide ‘wears off’ you will notice an influx of blemishes. This effect is much like that of antibiotic medication. If used frequently your body becomes accustomed to it and processes within the body are altered to match this input. However, once treatment is stopped your body is again forced to change processes and this usually leads to an inverse effect. With benzoyl peroxide, this is because the sebum creation is slowed and acid is forced to build up within the skin rather than being discharged and once the benzoyl peroxide wears off a larger amount of sebum is then produced and needs to be released.

In addition, benzoyl peroxide is used to dye hair and has been found to bleach the colour in clothing it comes into contact with. Always be careful what you are wearing and what you touch after applying a Proactiv product, and always wash you hands thoroughly after application to avoid damaging your clothes - as you may or may not know, bleached clothes cannot be repaired.

All up, despite the cautions, the Proactiv System is definitely an effective treatment for acne. It has individually varying results, as mentioned above, but in general you should see an improvement after using this for a few weeks. And if you have only a few blemishes and are not opposed to a non-natural treatment, Proactiv is probably your best bet.

Radiation can be given in tiny doses over a six-week period. When surgery and radiation don’t produce a normalization of cortisol production medications therapy is also recommonded. Medications to control excessive production of cortisol include ketoconazole (Nizoral), mitotane (Lysodren) and metyrapone (Metopirone). Medical therapy is also sometimes used before surgery for people who are very sick. Doing so may improve their signs and symptoms and minimize their surgical risk. Medication to block the production or effects of cortisol may be an option.

Protect your joints. Don’t keep your joints in the same position for a prolonged period of time. Balance your rest and work throughout the day. Use the strongest joints available for the job.

Stretch it. Stretching should be part of every arthritis patient’s daily routine. A good stretch helps prevent injuries by warming up muscles and tendons which are more limber and less likely to tear. Spend at least 10 minutes each day stretching, and work each major muscle group.

Cool it down. Stop physical activity. Rest in a cool or shaded environment. Spray with a mist of cool water or wrap an ice pack or cold compress in a towel and apply it to reduce arthritis pain and swelling.

Get moving. Exercise can help reduce joint pain and stiffness and increase flexibility and muscle strength. It can also help with weight control, stress management, and make you feel better overall. The Arthritis Foundation also offers water exercise and other classes.

Get a massage. Massage therapy can relieve your pain, soothe stiff sore muscles, and reduce inflammation and swelling. Make sure you use oil or cream on your fingers to make it gentler. Work the area for 5 to 10 minutes a day if possible.

Keep your weight in balance. Being overweight, even just moderately, impacts weight-bearing joints and can increase the pain of arthritis. Studies have indicated that losing extra weight lowers the risk for developing osteoarthritis of the knee. Losing weight can help slow the progression of arthritis too.

Get a diagnosis. If you are experiencing symptoms like pain, stiffness, swelling for more than 1 weeks, you should consider seeing your doctor and getting a diagnosis. Remember that there are more than 100 types of arthritis. It is important to get the specific diagnosis for the type of arthritis you have.

Take your medication the right way. Don’t stop taking your medication just because you feel it is not working. Check with your doctor first. You need to understand that it may take several days to even months for a medication to become effective.

Look out for new options. Recently FDA has approved some new drugs for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other arthritis diseases. If you feel that the current medication doesn’t work well, check with your doctor about possible new options.

Keep educating yourself. It is important to learn something new about arthritis. Find some good websites online and subscribe to their newsletter if they have it. Join one of two active online arthritis communities like forums or bulletin boards. Never hesitate to see your doctors and ask questions.

You Can Avoid Hair Loss Simply By Taking Care of Your Hair

October 23rd, 2008 by admin

Hair loss is problem that is linked to a variety of factors, such as age, genetics, diet, and diseases.
As with most things concerning the body, prevention plays a big role when it comes to health. Caring for your hair, keeping it healthy and avoiding the problem in the first place is to treat hair loss.
Brushing and Styling
You can start by brushing your hair. Brushing is known to help remove the dead hair as well the dirt and debris that collected throughout the day.
Daily brushing, besides helping to remove the dead hair and the dirt and debris, also helps in moving oils and nutrients all around your scalp and your hair.
Keep in mind that it is best to not do this for a prolonged period of time. For longer hair, it is also better to use a comb instead of a brush, as a comb won’t rip out the hair. Even when using a comb, it is best to not use it in excess, but rather, only to style hair or to get rid of extra tangles. This will allow the protective coating (the cuticle) to stay in place and continue to provide protection for your health hair.
Go gentle on the curling irons, blow dryers and curlers. The high heat is not good for your hair. It may look good to you that night, but you may be damaging or killing the hairs or cuticles on your scalp.
When your hair is wet, it will be easier for it to stretch and break.
Be careful with the types of products that you are putting in your hair. While most hair products that are used for dying hair are known to be safe, some will contain extra chemicals that can be detrimental. This will then cause the protective layer to be lost and will leave your hair exposed.
Nutrition Vitamins to Help Hair Loss
One of the major reasons hair losses occurs is the lack of nutrients and vitamins in your body. Besides giving you a healthy and great looking head of hair a change in your diet may go a long way in helping you prevent or delay hair loss.
Make sure that at least half of what you eat every day is fruits, vegetables, whole grains, boiled potatoes or brown rice. These are essential unrefined carbohydrates and are a source of energy and B vitamins that are great for healthy hair.
By the way, this is not just for having health hair, it is the basis for a healthy diet.
Do your best to have 15 %26#8211; 20% of your diet be comprised of fish, nuts, grains, seeds, eggs, poultry or dairy products as a lack of amino acids can inhibit cell growth as well as hair growth.
Vitamins A, C, E, biotin, B5, as well as B6 and B12 are all very beneficial to your hair. They all come from food sources. A, C and E can be food in most fruits and vegetables and biotin, B5, as well as B6 and B12 can be found in yeast, grains, eggs, liver, rice, and milk. Also a good multi-vitamin is an additional source.
Along with protein, zinc and other natural sources will help your hair in looking healthier and may also prevent hair loss. Keeping a balanced diet will also be effective in making sure that your hair stays thicker and healthier.
Washing
It is recommended to not wash your hair more than once a day; however, you should wash it at least once a week.
This will allow the dirt and oils to come out of the hair with the proper washings. It will also allow nutrients to move through the hair in order to allow for protection, as well as growth.
If you have a sensitive scalp, you should consider using a softer type of shampoo or one that has specific medication to help your hair.
Oils Treatments for Hair Loss
Various oils have been proven to provide you with treatments that you can use to help with your hair loss. By knowing which oils are available, and are proven effective, you can help in keeping a healthy hair look.
Thyme, Rosemary, Lavender, and Cedarwood are some of the known oils that are often used. All of these oils have essential nutrients that will react with the scalp and hair to allow for new growth and less strain in the scalp area.
For a different treatment, you can use what is known as carrier oils. These will carry the nutrients from the oil onto your scalp. The two well-known oils for this treatment is jojoba and grape seed oil. They are also a natural source for improving hair growth. For those who are worried about putting chemicals on the scalp, essential, natural oils are a good alternative.
The best way to use these types of oils to help with hair loss is to use a specific amount of the oils on your scalp every day. You can easily rub them into your scalp and massage them into the areas that are not growing as much hair. The oils will tell the area to add more hair and will promote stronger hair growth. Using these oils daily is necessary to achieve the needed results.
Oils are a great treatment that can’t hurt your scalp, slows hair loss, and is easy to apply and use.
Don’t hesitate to speak with an aromatherapist as they will have more information for you.
