Series of GHD Thermodynamics Products - A New Religion for Hair

By glancing at the title you may imagine what are the series of GHD thermodynamics products. We are very pleased to help you solve this question. Before we tell you the answer, please allow us to introduce ourselves.

We are not only a site for retailing and trading GHD products but also a site for weddings. The series of GHD products include GHD MK4 Styler, GHD Styling bag, GHD shampoo, GHD conditioner, Opulence Mask, Obedience Cream, Thermal Protector for hair, and GHD Hair Straightener in particular. GHD Hair Straightener are commonly believed as the pinnacle of hair styling products.

What are the specialities of GHD Hair Straightener? At first, let’s observe the features of human hair. In the hair structure there are bonds which determine whether your hair is curly, frizzy or wavy. These bonds will be broken down by applying the straightener to your hair and then your hair will be re-styled just as you desire. However, if your hair is exposed to moisture, these bonds can reform and revert to their original structure. As a result, your hair style just keeps the same with the original without any changing. If you choose to use common and cheaper straighteners, you could not keep your hair moisture because these straighteners cannot guarantee this. When strengthening you will suffer a lot from the sudden heat because these straighteners have no function of distributing heat. If you want to alternate your hair style for curling, you have the trouble yourselves of buying another one…Oh, so much inconvenience!!!

Please don’t be upset. GHD hair straighteners are able to rescue you from all these troubles. They have microprocessors that allow for even distribution of heat to the ceramic plates and let you be in a cosy condition during straightening hair. The newest GHD styler, the mark4, will make you more excited. It has amazing infra-red heat technology which actually works to guarantee your hair’s colour and moisture and is certain to render you a head of wonderful, silky, sparkling, elegant and straight hair. Meanwhile, the innovative mk4 styler is capable of meeting the double requirements of straightening and curling. In addition, due to having a new rounded barrel and longer cables, it allows for greater freedom to create much better styles such as curls, waves and straight than any other styler on the market.

What makes the mkIV styler so advanced? It is its appropriate features that render it so many advantages. For example, new rounded barrel guarantees the greater control in creating hair styles; It can indicates when it is hot enough for you to use; You could always keep a head of beautiful or handsome hair wherever you go because of its ability of automatically adjusting voltage; It will turn itself off if the room temperature gets too low to prevent condensation and damage to itself, or if it hasn’t been used for a quarter of an hour.

How to use GHD Hair Straighteners? There are several steps to follow:
1. To wash your hair with the relevant product.
2. To blow dry and brush off your hair, making sure it is fully dry before commencing to step 3.
3. To use a thermal hair protector with the mk4 styler, this will help to protect your hair from getting damaged when using the hair straighteners.
4. To plug-in your mk4 styler and heat them up until it beeps.
5. To divide your hair into more manageable sections and segregate the sections with hair clips.
6. To take one of the segregated sections of hair and use the GHD mk4 styler, clamp your hair at the bottom and slowly curl it towards the top of your head.
7. To hold the mk4 styler for around 3 to 4 seconds and then remove the straightener.
8. To start from the bottom sections of hair and then slowly move up until all of the sections of hair have been styled.

It is because of these advantages and excellent properties that GHD Thermodynamics Products have become so popular with people. Furthermore, in order to meet the requirement of users, GHD Christmas gift bag with the fashion and elegant design have been invented. It is easy and convenient. Indeed, it’s really suitable for a Christmas gift. If you are still wandering on the street and looking for a gift for a special person, then our products are your best choice.

The External Factors

October 17th, 2008 by admin

The next group are the external factors. Among the most obvious external influences are a wide range of, not necessarily uncommon, genetic shaft defects, i.e. faults in the structural make up of the hair shaft, that lead to subsequent problems of hair breakage, poor hair condition and the inability to grow a full head of hair. These genetic shaft defects are invariably impossible to resolve and the effect is usually, but not always, detrimental. The ’spangled’ hair in cases of ‘pili torti’, for example, gives a wonderful sparkle and shine particularly for longer female hair.

Ailments of the hair and scalp listed here under ‘External Factors’ occupy an enormous area of breadth and diversity and require specialist treatment by a Dermatologist or Trichologist. Psoriasis, seborrhoeic eczema, pityriasis, ringworm are all distressing ailments, although with expert supervision they can be treated and reversed or controlled. It is very unlikely that one can obtain healthy hair growth, whilst these conditions pre-exist.

External damage can, of course, be self-induced and damage and scarring following cosmetic treatment is relatively common. Heavily bleached and weathered hair will be dry, brittle, and probably have some structural damage. The central cortex and outer cuticle layer may be damaged, and the hair structure will be unwinding, rather like the end of a piece of rope, which the dead, keratinised shaft structure quite closely resembles. This structural collapse will not stop the hair growing at the active growing root end, but it will cause extensive hair breakage and the resultant appearance of hair loss. The hair shaft may also be damaged or destroyed by professional treatment, particularly perming, straightening or hair colouring which has not been correctly performed. Again, the hair should re-grow normally unless permanent damage or scarring has occurred to the scalp. The legal pursuit of the perpetrators is usually lengthy and unsatisfactory resulting in further hair loss.

Hair breakage and loss may also be quite literally self induced, sucking, pulling, twiddling and plucking your own hair will inevitably lead to hair damage and loss, giving the characteristic cropped patches of almost bald scalp. Like any habit, this can be extremely difficult to stop and there may well be a problem, even with “acceptance”, for this condition. Watching the television or driving the car are two of the most common times for this to occur. Cessation of the activity will invariably result in the return to full hair growth, but breaking the habit can prove very difficult. Help should be sought from a friend, or family member, or, in more serious cases where psychosis may be present, expert guidance should be obtained.

More gentle external factors include seasonal variations where there is a greater fall in Spring and increased hair growth in Autumn, rather like the other mammals where the effect is pronounced. This change in growth rate in human hair is significant, and all clinical trials of hair growth products need to extend to a minimum of one year to allow for these seasonal variations.

Increasing age reduces the growth rate, with reduced hair texture and condition, as well as the loss of pigment in the hair shaft, and the onset of greyness. The failure of melanin production in the dermal papilla is considered by some researchers to be a highly significant mechanism and to be involved in the progress of Androgenic Alopecia. This is still the subject of further research but may explain why young men in their 20s and 30s who become prematurely grey do not appear to suffer from Androgenic Alopecia.

Hair Care - Beautiful Shiny Hair Tips

October 17th, 2008 by admin

Use Strawberry hair mask: mash eight strawberries with one-tablespoon mayonnaise. Massage this into washed but damp hair. Cover it with a shower cap and then a warm towel. Wash out with a shampoo and then condition. This mask will give your hair a rich gloss.

Shiny hair indicates good health. The last time that I went to the beauty salon, the hairstylist told me that my hair looks healthier than the other customers who she has seen lately. The hairstylist said that their hair was bleached over and over again and just fried.

Use a shampoo containing silk amino acids. These acids make the hair soft and repair the damaged hair structure. Lecithin is vital for restoring hair texture. Gels and creams make hair shine. Put a small amount of the product on your palm, rub the hands together and pat lightly on the hair.

Mash 8 strawberries and add a tablespoon of mayonnaise to make a strawberry hair mask. After washing the hair, massage this mask in the damp hair. Then put on a shower cap and wrap a warm towel around it. Wash it off, shampoo it and then condition. This mask gives your hair a glossy look.

Massage this into washed but damp hair. Cover it with a shower cap and then a warm towel. Wash out with a shampoo and then condition. This mask will give your hair a rich gloss, Increase the shine in your hair by giving your hair a cool blast of air to seal the cuticle after it is completely dries. If the cuticles are ragged then your hair will not shine. Tuna is a great food option for healthy, shiny, luxurious hair.

Repeat step 4 as necessary. For thicker hair, you may need to separate hair into sections several times. My hair is of a medium thickness but long, so I separate it into 3 sections.

Once hair is completely dry, brush and style as you wish, or leave it down, as it should be less dried-out and more manageable. If your hair is not completely frizz-free and cooperative, rub a small amount of gel in your hands (a nickel’s worth or a quarter’s worth) and gently smooth over your hair, paying close attention to the ends.

Lemon juice has a special effect that you can use as an aid to help you create silky hair. It is easy to apply to you hair, you should leave lemon juice in your hair for about 20 minutes and thin rinse out. The end result you hair will look fantastic!

If you are in the sun, try and keep your hair protected. You can do this by covering your hair with a scarf or a hat if possible. If you are on holiday and are swimming in the sea, try and rinse your hair immediately afterwards. Sea salt has an extremely drying effect on your hair. Of course the ’sun kissed’ effect that the sun and sea can give our hair is very attractive at the time, but when you return from your holiday the result is much damaged hair.

You need to gather your hair, twisting it with the exception of one thing layer at the base of the head. Then with the barrette or clip, pin the hair on top of your head. Now you want to blow dry loose hair. When completely dry, brush your hair out. The clip or barrette can be removed, at which time you blow dry another section of hair. Any damp hair will then be pinned back on top of your head.

Hair Loss Symptoms and Causes

October 17th, 2008 by admin

It is considered normal for people to lose 50-100 hairs per day. If you ever lived with someone who has long hair, you are probably well aware of this fact. Hair Loss generally is noticed in one of two ways. With common pattern baldness, the loss is gradual. It can start as early as puberty, or very late in life. Sudden loss of hair, or loss in clumps usually indicates a different problem. This type of symptom could be caused by a number of factors, including hormonal changes, medications, thyroid problems, among othersIn male pattern baldness, the hair loss generally is gradual.  The hair usually thins out first in the front of the scalp hairline and forehead and moves progressively to the back and top of the head. It tends to be progressive, and in many eventually, only hair around the ears, the sides, and back of the head remains, as an horseshoe-shaped pattern that leaves the crown of the head exposed. The most obvious hair loss symptom is receding hairline, thinning hair, and hoarse-shaped pattern. While this symptom literally shouts at you, some people don’t catch it until it turns worse. It is important to observe yourself for any changes in your hair structure. For women, balding comes from the crown rather than the hairline. The main hair loss symptom for children is sudden losing of patches of hair from anywhere in the head. Sudden hair loss is also characterized by hair shedding in which patches of hair just fall away. Other hair loss symptoms are dry hair, brittle hair, heavy head and body hair or hairiness, presence of dandruff, and greying of hair.Hair loss Causes in Male and FemaleIron deficiency:  An Iron deficiency can sometimes produces hair loss. Such deficiency can be identified and corrected by medication.Medication: For some people, prescription drugs can cause a  temporary hair shedding. Obviously, if you are taking any prescription drugs whether short term or ongoing then check with your health professional for advice. Hair loss is a natural part of the body’s process of renewal. As some hair falls out, new growth replaces it. However, this process may be accelerated by a number of conditions. Hormonal changes may contribute to rapid hair loss, such as during pregnancy or childbirth, or even when coming off the Pill. As these fluctuations in hormone levels drop off, the hair loss should clear up, so the condition is only temporary. In a recent study, hormone levels were studied in both male and female patients experiencing severe hair loss. The research points towards a complex interaction between sex and thyroid hormones that may lead to the condition. Stress is another factor linked to hair loss. While it has not been proved definitively, emotional trauma has been loosely associated with hair loss, but milder strains and worries probably do the same thing. Stresses placed on the body may also cause a woman’s hair to jump ship. For example, crash dieting, in which a woman loses a large amount of weight rapidly, may also cause her to lose her tresses, too. Since stress is often transient, if its cause clears up, the resultant hair loss should disappear as well.It is generally thought that hair loss is an inheritance from the maternal side; however chances of such an inheritance are 50%. The actual causes of hair loss are varied and may range from anything like exposure to chemicals, poisons and some medical treatments like chemotherapy. Stress is also another reason for hair loss which may include emotional trauma and depression.

Hair Beauty Products - a Guide to Healthy, Beautiful Hair

October 16th, 2008 by admin

Hair beauty products cover a wide-range of products formulated to help you manage your hair.  Whether your hair is long, short, straight, curly; or, if you experience problematic hair, such as excessive oily or dry hair, scalp psoriasis, or have experienced damage from over-styling, heat, or from the environment, hair beauty products can aid healing and treating the follicles while adding fullness, beauty and life.

Shampoos

Shampoos have a general purpose – to clean your hair – pretty obvious.  Most of us are attracted and find our favorite shampoo by the way it smells (#1) and how well it allows us to manage our hair (#2).

Many shampoos are formulated to cleanse – but that’s where the comparison stops.  Most shampoos are formulated with surfactants (cleaning agents) that can be rather harsh on the scalp and hair – often creating more damage than relief.  As a result, many manufacturers have done extensive research to uncover organic or natural-based ingredients that not only cleanse, but are gentle on the scalp.

Some ingredients, such as Thyme, Sage and Emu Oil are becoming popular in that they help deep-clean, yet are gentle - and make an excellent shampoo for dry hair.  Recently, complexes like Zinc PCA and Jojoba Oil have found there way into the most effective shampoos.  They add body, deep clean, and leave hair manageable (#2) without harming the follicle root and shaft.

Conditioners

The primary job of the hair conditioner is to restore hair to its natural elasticity, infuse lost moisture due to styling and product usage, and to maintain cellular hair structure.

Infusing moisture is the main goal here.  Often moisture – which is the main component in hair health – is depleted and stripped.  If moisture is not regulated through diet, fluid consumption or through topical applications, it is necessary to “infuse” hydration externally.  Leave-in or rinse-out conditioners work equally well, while aiding in control and manageability.  Many have formulas which include Panthenol that helps heal and soothe the scalp, while others may add agents to give you thicker hair or increased control.

These are a few thoughts to keep in mind when considering hair beauty products. It helps to look at the labels and continue to experiment with different brands (and sub-brands) for products that work the best for your hair type and hair style.

Trichogen Complex - Stop Hair Loss and Promote Hair Growth

October 14th, 2008 by admin

Temporary hair loss, “Diffuse” hair loss, is often the result of stress, DHT accumulation, excessive styling or product usage, hormonal changes, excessive oil or dirt, and medication. Male and female hair loss can often be treated and natural hair growth restored with proper treatment.

Trichogen is a botanical complex formulated to combat hair loss and thinning by increasing circulation to the scalp, while blocking DHT and irrigating and cleansing.

What is Trichogen?

Trichogen is a botanical complex developed to combat hair loss and promote new hair growth. Growing in popularity in hair loss products, Trichogen is a 14 organic and botanical extract complex clinically proven to slow or stop hair loss and to promote new, natural hair growth.

Often used in topical treatments, spray applications and in shampoos, Trichogen increases circulation, helps block 5 Alpha Reductase enzymes and DHT - that lead to hair loss - and introduces vital amino acids while cleansing and irrigating and regulating DHT, excessive oil, product build-up and dirt.

Components of Trichogen

Trichogen was formulated with extracts that work together blocking 5 Alpha Reductase enzymes that lead to DHT (dihydratestosterone), while cleansing and improving scalp circulation. Let’s take a closer look at individual components, many of which can be found in vitamins for hair growth:

Panax Ginseng Root Extract - increases scalp stimulation increasing hair depth and thickness

Arginine - a powerful amino acid, a building block of hair structure

Acetyl Tyrosine - an additional essential amino acid

Arctium Majus Root Extract - helps to block DHT

Hydrolyzed Soy Protein - essential protein needed for hair growth

Zinc Gluconate - helps block DHT when combined with niacinamide and biotin

Niacinamide and Biotin - helps block conversion of testosterone to DHT

Salvia Sclarea Extract - stimulates scalp and attaches to DHT

Cinnamomumb Zeylanicum Extract - irrigates DHT and bacteria from the scalp

Ginko Biloba Extract - stimulates capillary microcirculation in the scalp

Kigelia Africana Extract - helps block 5 alpha reductase enzymes

Hair Growth Applications

Trichogen has become a popular ingredient in hair loss products and hair growth products. Combined and formulated with targeted active ingredients, Trichogen has been shown to stop or slow hair loss and restore and stimulate natural hair growth.

Though not a panacea, in many cases it reverses damage caused by DHT, while promoting microcirculation that carries vital amino acids, vitamins and nutrients to the scalp and follicle root - often extending or reinvigorating Anagen phase hair growth.

Common applications include topical follicle stimulators and hair growth treatments. Often Trichogen is combined with other active ingredients, such as Panthenol which helps heal the scalp and infuse moisture, B12 vitamin complex which targets hair and nail growth, Fenugreek which improves scalp circulation and aspiration, or Jojoba Oil or Emu Oil which deep clean dirt, oil, and bacteria, while acting as an anti-inflammatory.

In combination with a myriad of ingredients for scalp and hair health, Trichogen has proved itself as a vital component in combating hair loss and restoring natural hair growth.

Hair Structure and Various Hair Extensions Available Today

October 13th, 2008 by admin

Hair structure and various hairs available today

Hair extensions can dramatically improve your appearance. However, before you take the plunge and go in for hair extensions it would help to understand the quality of hair extensions and what the typical structure of hair is like.

The hair structure

The hair when observed on a microscopic level is actually composed of various layers. The outer coating is known as ‘cuticle’ and comprises many long cells which overlap with one another. They align in a unidirectional manner and is the main component that keeps the moisture in the hair intact. It also guards against the weather and other elements. In fact, shiny hair is a sign of having a healthy cuticle.

How to determine an extension’s quality?

The best way to gauge the quality of a hair extension is by assessing the cuticle. Usually, prices can also be an indicator of the overall quality. The more the price of the extension the more will be the quality and vice versa. Also, if the layers of the cuticle are intact and facing the same direction it means it is a healthy cuticle and so the price of the hair extension will also be higher. Bad quality cuticles indicate interlocking cells which can cause matted and knotted hair.

Types of hair and their structure differences

The hair used in the extension industry can originate from various countries. Each ethnic race has a different hair structure. Here we discuss some of them:

European hair:

This type is very thin and has a cross section surface that looks oval. Usually this kind of hair is preferred for all hair extension purposes.

Indian hair:

This is a very high quality hair type and is highly preferred for extension manufacturing purposes. Different hair kinds are mixed and collected for this purpose. However, very rarely is the cuticle left intact (except in very expensive extensions). Usually the cuticle is removed and coated with silicon substances. The prices of these extensions are hence much lesser.

Asian hair:

Most of the time Asian hair types come from Chinese people. It is thicker when compared to the European hair varieties and has a cross section resembling a round shape. Since the hair is originally very thick it is made lighter with an acid bath.

Remi hair:

This is one of the most expensive varieties of hair extensions and uses high grade hair with cuticle cells in a unidirectional growth (the hair we supply).

Synthetic hair:

This is a man made variety of hair which looks and feels like natural hair. Since it is made with artificial materials and the outer cuticle cells are unlike natural hair merging such hair extensions with your natural hair is very tough. Usually, the aftercare is also different for such types of extensions and the prices are also cheaper
