How To Treat Male Acne-Body Acne-Pimples and Stubborn Blemishes-Skincare Just For Men

October 22nd, 2008 by admin

While acne is often considered a teenager%26#8217;s problem, many adult men also suffer from facial and body pimples. Find out why men suffer acne, and how they can effectively control it.

How many men do you know suffer from body acne? The chances are pretty good that you know a few. Starting from adolescence, most males battle with body acne and scarring caused by acne, and many find it to be a very frustrating condition.

How many guys do you think use skincare products as part of their daily regime? Twenty-five percent? Forty percent? The truth is that for most men, their daily skincare regime is basically non-existent. They get up, take a quick shower, brush their teeth, maybe fix their hair, and then they are off to work. On other days they might shave, and use a shave gel and aftershave product, but for most men that is the extent of their skincare regime.

It%26#8217;s no wonder facial and body acne thrive off of mens%26#8217; bodies. A male%26#8217;s body is the perfect host for acne. A males body tends to secrete alot of oil, especially in comparison to women, and the production of the male hormone Androgen is often the culprit. Combine the sweaty, moist environment that constantly surrounds men, combined with the everyday stresses of work and life, and you have the perfect atmosphere for bacteria to develop which helps to fuel acne growth. Mix a few unhealthy habits like poor food choices, little exercise, and unhealthy work environments that often involve dust, particles, chemicals, and other dangerous residues, and it%26#8217;s easy to understand why men have such a tough time controlling, let alone preventing acne breakouts.

For most males, seeing pimple or zit pop up is quite annoying, and many can hardly resist the temptation to squeeze it, and to try to get rid of the pimple by picking it. But this only makes matters worse and does little to address the root of the problem. Most men have little patience when it comes to controlling and preventing acne breakouts from occurring. But with a little understanding and a few simple, effective changes, any man can achieve blemish-free skin.

If you think about skincare, the vision of women and countless beauty products often comes to mind, right? But what about the image of Shannon Sharpe and Joe Namath, both ex-professional football players? Or ho

w about Adrian Grenier or stars from television hits like CSI, Deadwood, 24, or the Sopranos? What if I told you, that these stars, they too suffer from skin problems like acne and blemished skin. Not only do the makeup artists use these products on these individuals, but the actors themselves use the products at home and on the road to help them achieve better looking skin.

The only difference between them and you, is that their face is plastered all over the place for the world to see, so every imperfection to them is a bigger deal. Or so they would say. So how do they stop zits and blemishes from occurring? How do they maintain healthy looking skin? They start with a daily skincare regime and they use products that are specifically designed for men. That%26#8217;s right! Skincare Products For Men!

There is a company out there that had the brilliant idea to design a line of products specifically for men, designed to meet the everyday needs of men. From face wash, to shave gels, after shave, cologne, and travel kits, they market it. So who is buying it? Well for starters, their products are well known among professional athletes and celebrities across the United States. But do you think they are the only ones to have access to these great products, aimed at stopping zits from occurring? No, everyday individuals like yourself are also using these products in an effort to achieve a clearer complexion, and healthier looking skin.

We all know that men work hard, and play hard, but what do they do when it comes to living healthy lives and enjoying flawless skin? Generally not much goes into that part because it%26#8217;s been ingrained upon us that only women care about their looks. You may think this subconsciously, but this is not the case. The evidence is clear that more and more men are taking an interest in their appearance, and how they look and feel. If you want healthier looking skin, and more confidence, if you want to be able to take off your shirt without having to worry about unsightly pimples on your back, then it%26#8217;s time you too took an interest in skincare that has been designed with your needs in mind.

Walking Down The Path To Better Health

October 18th, 2008 by admin

Man is distinguished from other animals by a myriad of characteristics, but perhaps the most obvious difference is that man walks upright. Whether you believe you are a product of a higher being or evolved from other life forms, walking has enabled humans to easily move about the earth.

Man is distinguished from other animals by a myriad of characteristics, but perhaps the most obvious difference is that man walks upright. Whether you believe you are a product of a higher being or evolved from other life forms, walking has enabled humans to easily move about the earth. In combination with a well developed brain humankind has conquered many challenges and developed a host of modern marvels.

Walking enabled man to survive in the past and it remains true today. Walking provides the means to live longer and there is virtually no expense involved, save for a pair of shoes - walking barefoot in many environments may pose a health risk. It can be accomplished at slower speeds for the elderly or at a much quicker pace for the younger and for both the health benefits are tremendous.

Walking provides the opportunity to achieve better physical and emotional health. The old adage of a sound mind in a sound body is certainly a benefit of walking. The emotional benefits of walking are as significant as the physical aspects. It provides a bit of an escape from everyday stresses. It provides a time to think if walking alone or to discuss issues, events, and d

aily occurrences if one is accompanied.

Walking provides the opportunity to be an observer. In a park or country setting, one can simply enjoy the abundance of nature or in a more urban setting there is the activity of day to day living that surrounds us. In either case the focus is often removed from ourselves and gives our own mind the time to reflect and evaluate. Events are occurring outside our direct sphere of interest and consequently the mind is often rejuvenated, refreshed and invigorated.

The physical benefits of walking are numerous. Our limbs are engaged in an activity that man was designed to do. Our muscle structure is enhanced as well as our internal organs. Our hearts may beat a bit faster thus improving our respiratory and circulatory systems. Digestion is benefited and fat is burned while improving our flexibility and endurance.

High blood pressure and high levels of cholesterol plague many and the simple act of participating in a walking program offers the opportunity to reduce blood pressure as well as cholesterol levels in most people. If one wants to live longer with a better quality of life the simple act of walking is the path to follow.

Needing Sleep Help?

October 14th, 2008 by admin

Since the creation of man, sleep has been essential for life and for maintaining optimal health and well-being. Its potent healing properties and critical role in facilitating rebuilding and regeneration throughout your body have made a good night’s sleep one of the world’s most sought after goals. However, because restful sleep can be disturbed by the everyday stresses and anxieties of life, you may need to find some form of sleep help. There are a wide variety of solutions available simply because the problem is so widespread. If you are in need of some sleep help, how do you choose the best remedy?

Basically, you have three broad choices to make. You can see your doctor and get a prescription for sleeping pills, you can try several natural sleep remedies, or you can make changes to your sleeping environment and daily habits. As with everything in life, the best solution for you may not be one single action, but a combination of things.

Your first thought might be getting a prescription for sleeping pills. It would be a real challenge to watch one night of television without seeing a commercial for the latest pharmaceutical sleep aid. In a few rare cases, sleeping medications from the drugstore might be what you need. But for most people, pills are not the best solution. They are expensive and they will become less effective the more you take them. There’s always a risk that you will become dependent on them. The main issue is that they don’t really provide a cure–they only treat the symptoms.

If you need help getting drowsy, there are several natural sleep aids that could help. One of the strongest natural supplements is valerian root. It has been clinically researched and was found to be as strong as some prescription medications. But its natural origins make it much safer. Surprisingly, there doesn’t seem to be a problem with dependency with this herbal solution. There are other herbal remedies available as well.

Some of the most effective sleep help doesn’t involve taking anything at all. By making your bedroom darker, quieter and cooler, you can promote much more restful sleep. Avoiding naps during the day can also help you be more ready to fall asleep in the evening. Don’t eat a big meal late, but DO eat a small, high-carbohydrate snack before bedtime. Your best bet is to try these solutions in reverse order: change your sleep environment and habits first, try some natural remedies second, and use sleeping pills only as a last resort.
