================================================================================4 compelling facts that prove smoking cigarettes and nicotine are NOT addictive! Colin Beale (c)Colin Beale - All Rights reserved

================================================================================
As a smoker, you don’t need me to tell you about your habit, it’s rammed down your throat daily by TV, the press, colleagues, friends, loved ones etc. etc.
You know whether it’s 5 or 50 a day, smoking can cause an early painful death. You know that the cost of cigarettes is spiralling upwards and a 20 a day habit (depending on your age) could cost in excess of %26pound;100,000 before your death.
You know that smoking makes your breath smell, that the stench of tobacco clings to your clothes, your hair, your skin.
You know that smoking gradually affects your health, maybe you wake up with a smokers cough or you get out of breath more easily, colds tend to last longer.
You know all these things but you continue to smoke%26hellip;%26hellip;. WHY?
The medical profession, scientists, government, the media will all tell you its nicotine. Nicotine is a drug and you’re addicted!!
POPPYCOCK%26hellip;%26hellip;%26hellip;%26hellip;%26hellip;. I’ll say it again%26hellip;%26hellip;%26hellip;%26hellip;%26hellip;. POPPYCOCK
Here are four compelling facts that prove beyond any reasonable doubt that nicotine is not addictive.
Compelling Fact No. 1Truly addictive drugs such as Heroin are cumulative. When you start you maybe satisfied with a fix every two or three days, but as you get used to the drug your body craves it more and more, so eventually two or three days have become two or three hours and your body is reduced to just two states%26hellip;..high on the drug or craving the drug. With the majority of smokers the amount they smoke tends to remain constant. The 20 a day habit you had five years ago, is still a 20 a day habit. In fact, these days many smokers are now cutting down, almost impossible with a truly addictive drug.
Compelling Fact No. 2 Staying with Heroin addiction for the moment, in the later stages of the addiction, the Heroin addict has just two states, high on the drug or craving the drug. At this point it is difficult to sleep, many addicts will drink themselves into a state of unconscious and try and achieve rest this way.The problem is that when they wake, their body is craving the amount of Heroin that it has been deprived of during their ’sleep’.If a smoker were subject to the same level of addiction, a 20 a day person who slept for eight hours would wake with a craving that would only be satisfied by smoking 10 cigarettes all at once.
Compelling Fact No. 3Let’s compare smoking cigarettes and nicotine patches. The average cigarette contains 0.5mg of nicotine and by inhaling the smoke, the smoker takes into their body about 10% of that nicotine, for example a 15 a day smoker would absorb 7.5mg of nicotine.Nicotine patches are designed to wean you off smoking gradually. You start with the strongest patch normally for about 6 weeks, move to the intermediate patch for two weeks and finally the weakest patch for two weeks. The amount of nicotine in different manufactures patches varies, but the strongest patch from a well known manufacturer contains 114mg of nicotine and relases 21mg into the bloodstream daily.Using the example of the 15 a day smoker; he/she stops smoking and starts using the patches, immediately they will absorb nearly three times the amount of nicotine into their bodies. He/she tries the strong patches for 5 weeks but gives into temptation and starts smoking again. At this stage the smoker has been absorbing nearly three times their usual amount of nicotine on a dailybasis for 5 weeks and then goes back to 15 cigarettes a day. If nicotine were addictive that smoker would suffer withdrawal symptoms, they would be climbing the walls, they have just deprived their body of two thirds of the nicotine it had become used to!
Compelling Fact No. 4Back to Heroin again, because Heroin is a truly addictive drug it is a devastating experience to quit. Addicts experience ‘cold turkey’, withdrawal symptoms that usually last for 7 days, they include tremors, panic, chills, nausea, muscle cramps, insomnia, stomach cramps, diarrhoea, vomiting and shaking. During this time the addict cannot function on any level and most of the time just feels like dying.Compare this with quitting smoking, you may feel a bit ‘tetchy’ for a few days, you may even experience some physical symptoms, usually a hunger like ache in the stomach and sometimes a headache, but you can function and you will not retire to a quiet room to ‘curl up and die’!
So there you have it. Four facts that prove nicotine and smoking are not addictive. Now that you know this, you have taken the first step to becoming a ‘Natural Non Smoker’.

Water Filters Can Help Remove Toxins
There are literally hundreds to thousands of chemicals that have been or are being dumped into our water supplies daily. These sources include rivers, streams and oceans. Some of these chemicals are burned or thrown in landfills. They spray these on food and can be found in your house right now and in large amounts. What is really bad is that if you checked blood or fat of most American people you would find these chemicals lurking in their bodies. Some of these items include heavy metals, pesticides, toxic chemicals and many many more. These all affect the way our body functions and could be the cause of the increase of many diseases becoming more rampant in society today. We are overloading our bodies at increasingly fast levels. When we have excess toxins in our bodies they interrupt our regular elimination process and our cells muscles become overburdened with this waste. Our elimination organs, the kidneys and liver, cannot remove all these toxins and less of the good vitamins and minerals can be used by our bodies. Our health suffers from these toxins. Some immediate effects you will see can be fatigue. This is continually seen in the chronic fatigue syndrome, sleeplessness, irregular bowel habits, headaches and catching more colds and viruses than normal. Some longer term affects can be cancer, diabetes, IBS or other colon problems, gall bladder stone or kidney disease. How can we eliminate these. One good way to remove a lot of toxins is to use a water filter regularly. Especially in our drinking water but also in our shower as our skin absorbs toxins readily through the hot steam.Water filters can remove most of these contaminants including metals, chlorine, pesticides and other harmful chemicals. Make sure when you look for a water filter to read the section regarding the items removed by the filter.

Children’s Ailments-Home Remedies
In general, children and adults are treated in the same way by the natural therapies, each person’s health being considered individually and treatment given accordingly, and the same approach applies to self-help measures. There is of course the matter of dosage of remedies, and these should be reduced or adapted. There are a number of illnesses that tend to occur in childhood, such as chickenpox, German measles and measles, and children are also more prone to colds, coughs, ear infections and the like. As well as any specific treatment for such conditions, it is worth bearing in mind some general considerations. Children usually react quickly to any illness, showing acute symptoms that can then often subside equally quickly(much to the amazement/relief/annoyance of parents!). Due to their high levels of energy and faster metabolism, children often show signs of illness through a high temperature, and this should be looked at as part of the ailment, not as the whole problem. Because of this, it is easier for children to become dehydrated, and an essential part of treatment is to give plenty of fluids- with vomiting and/or diarrhoea in infants this can be literally life-saving. Conversely, if a child is unwell, he or she can go off food for a while, and provided fluid intake is adequate, this is not normally a major problem in the short term. Here are some comments about each of the therapies in relation to treating children, and some of the most useful remedies. RememberKeep all medicines and essential oils out of the reach of children. Self-help treatment may not always be appropriate for children. If in any doubt, seek medical advice.

Read About Vitamin C
The c vitamin has got to be the most widely known vitamin these days. It is not surprising because the body needs c vitamin for over 300 functions. In fact, the c vitamin has been proved to help protect against heart disease, cancer and other serious illnesses. Without the c vitamin the body would not be able to heal itself either. This is because the c vitamin is vital for the formation of collagen. Whenever a person has a cut or an injury it is the collagen that helps repair the damage and without sufficient c vitamin this would be almost impossible. Collagen has a multitude of functions in the body, including keeping the organs in place, and it would not be able to do this without sufficient c vitamin. The c vitamin is also an antioxidant for the body and helps other vitamins and minerals to be absorbed better. Folic acid and iron, for example, need the c vitamin to maximise their usefulness. The more c vitamin that the body has, the better its defence against colds and other common ailments and the c vitamin may not prevent a person catching a virus but it does help speed up the recovery process. There is c vitamin in almost every fruit and vegetable but some have far higher c vitamin content than others. Cranberries and melons have high c vitamin content. In fact, tropical fruits have the highest c vitamin amounts of all fruit. Hot peppers are amongst the richest sources of the c vitamin when it comes to vegetables. The hotter the pepper, the higher its c vitamin content is. Unfortunately, the c vitamin is water soluble so many vegetables lose their effectiveness as a c vitamin provider if they are boiled for a long time. Steaming or quick stir frying vegetables ensures that more of their c vitamin content is retained. The recommended daily amount of the c vitamin is easily obtained from eating five portions of fruit and vegetables a day if they are consumed raw or cooked quickly. C vitamin supplements are extremely useful to ensure that people obtain sufficient c vitamin. However, with a balanced diet the amount of c vitamin the body receives is likely to be sufficient. However, if a person begins feeling tired or lethargic then a c vitamin supplement will help overcome this. There is no danger of having too much c vitamin as the body simply excretes the excess.

Stop Chicago Child Snoring And Sleep Soundly
Child snoring has been related with other problems to behavior. One of the common reasons is that of the allergies which occur due to the change in the seasons.Child snoring may also be caused due to the enlargements of tonsils and also the enlargements of the adenoids. While you are sleeping, the air passage contracts as the throat muscles relax making it difficult to breathe. This noisy vibrations are known as snoring. The snoring noise depends on the pressure of the air that is being pushed through the narrow air passage.Snoring can be caused to the overweight population having more fatty tissue in the back of their throat and the neck which get in the way of airways making it difficult to breathe. Also enlarging of tonsils and adenoids,a long tongue or a smaller jaw contributes to snoring.Snorers generally have nasal congestion which is more likely to vibrate as the tongue obstructs the smooth breathing. If you suspect your child has a snoring-related sleep issue you should consult your doctor.Children who snore are more likely to suffer from allergies than the general population and children with allergies are more likely to suffer from sleep apnea, this was according to American College of Chest Physicians. If your child stops breathing for a few seconds or gasps for breath, this may be a symptom of sleep apnea and a point to note is,not everyone who snores has sleep apnea.Remember, most kids snore sometimes but if your child snores loudly and regularly be sure to check with your doctor.Child snoring associated with colds, allergies or respiratory infection is fairly common in all ages but loud and regular snoring is not normal for healthy children.Obesity In children is a major concern because it results in the narrowing of the passages and in the long run it may cause hyperactivity.Fat deposits around the throat can cause it to constrict, and fat in the stomach can prevent the diaphragm from functioning properly. Some 20 percent to 40 percent of obese children suffer from this problem.Child snoring can lead to more serious complications like getting too little oxygen and too much carbon dioxide. In return this condition can lead to poor heart and lung development as well as behavioral problems. All is not lost though as this is reversible if the disease is caught early. Most mothers will agree with me when we sometimes look at our sleeping babies snore and we say they look cute! This does not mean that the child is sound asleep,it could be translated to something more grave and might need the help of a pediatrician.

Liquid Vitamin C: The Benefits
Liquid vitamin C is an important and popular nutritional supplement to many people. We already understand that vitamin C is actually one of our best first lines of defense against a host of medical conditions. However, why should we choose to take the liquid form as appposed to other forms of choices? What are their actual advantages? Here are some important fact you may like to learn about this liquid vitamin. What Vitamin C Can Benefit UsThere are just so many good things that vitamin C can bring to the body. It is a known antioxidant that helps sweep harmful free radicals that are partly responsible for gradual cell damage. It also assists the immune system in warding off infections. On top of these functions, vitamin C is crucial for the speedy healing of wounds and damaged tissues. This vitamin also has a hand in collagen formation, iron absorption and fat metabolism.Vitamin C DeficiencyDespite the obvious importance of the vitamin and its availability, some people still suffer from its deficiency. It is estimated that at least one fourth to a half of the grown-ups do not take enough vitamin C. Unknowingly these individuals may become more susceptible to such conditions as the virus-induced colds or gum bleeding. Others may have such poor immunity that infections can become common. Scurvy is also a typical consequence of not having the right amounts of vitamin C in the body. Why Take Liquid Vitamin CUnlike some nutrients, vitamin C cannot be naturally generated in the human body. We therefore need to get our daily doses of this crucial vitamin from external sources. The best natural sources of the vitamin are citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruit, pomelo and lemons. It can also be found in vegetables like cauliflower, cabbage and spinach. We are only able to take a limited amount of vitamin C from our daily diet, and this is especially true for those on a a busy schedule. An alternative solution is to take vitamin C capsules and tablets. It has been suggested though that vitamin C in the liquid form is the best choice, as vitamin is better absorbed by our body when taken in the liquid form.OverdoseRarely do people get a vitamin C overdose, but it still occurs occasionally. The mildest side effect of an overdose is a case of bad digestion that manifests itself through diarrhea. Others may also experience some body aches, vomiting and dizziness.Like any medication, vitamin C supplements may have interactions or reactions to other substances. This is why it is important for your doctor to know if you are taking the vitamin, especially if you have some underlying medical conditions or if you are taking other supplements and medications. Not every liquid vitamin C product can benefit you. Some may come with artificial ingredients that may not do any good to your health. So, before buying a vitamin C product, you should always check out its ingredients. You may also consult your doctor for a good recommendation.
