The 4 Levels of Reiki Training

Reiki training is different when you are beginner compared to someone who has already been introduced to it. In this article, we will talk about the first four levels to give people an idea of what actually happens. During level one, the instructor will introduce you to the energy. Here, you get to develop a relationship with it by learning how to work with it, how it feels through your body and the effects on using this on yourself and others. Over the course of two days, you will learn the 4 attunements. There will be enough time given to allow your system to settle into the new space and after a 21 day cleansing session, you will no longer feel any negative energy in your system. Level two Reiki training should be done at least two months after you have completed level one. During this time, your vibration level should be much higher. This is also a two day training course where you will receive another attunement that will increases your vibration and make you familiar with three of the four Reiki symbols. You will learn here how to make each of these symbols work and after a couple of days, you will again have to undergo a 21 day cleaning period to remove any negative energy that you may have. Most people do not go beyond level two because they are already happy with what they have learned. But for those who want to push on and even become a master, they can continue on their way to level three. It is recommended that you wait at least 6 to 12 months before you take level 3. When you are ready, you will again undergo a two day session so you may received your final attunement. There is another 21 day cleaning period and you may even be taught another Reiki system like the Seichim to help you through. From here, we go the fourth and final level where you will be taught how to become both a master and a teacher so you may also teach those who want to learn about the Reiki. What makes this different from the first three levels is that you will be taught now from an instructor’s perspective. This will enable you to come up with your own lesson plans and manuals that you will distribute to your students. You will also learn about boundaries and ethics being a Master Teacher. You might even be given a test by creating a level one training which you will use to treat new comers. Reiki training is now available in some institutions. You can even enroll in home study programs, online learning and distance instruction. You just have to find the right instructor that can teach you everything there is to know about this healing technique so you get your money’s worth. If you attend to join a class, you shouldn’t worry about if this is crowded because batches are limited to 4 or 8 students. This will allow each one to have individualized attention from the instructor aside from the manuals that will be given at the start of the class. Everyone is more than welcome to experience and embrace what Reiki training can do. You just have to keep an open mind and let the positive energy flow within you and cleansing yourself of the negative energies that fill your body, mind and soul.

Giving Your Baby The Best Nutrition By Breastfeeding

Giving Your Baby The Best Nutrition By Breastfeeding

New parents want to give their babies the very best. When it comes to nutrition, the best first food for babies is breast milk. Experts recommend that babies be breast-fed for six to 12 months. The only acceptable alternative to breast milk is infant formula. Solid foods can be introduced when the baby is 4 to 6 months old, but a baby should drink breast milk or formula, not cow’s milk, for a full year. Cow’s milk contains a different type of protein than breast milk. This is good for calves, but human infants can have difficulty digesting it. Bottle-fed infants tend to be fatter than breast-fed infants, but not necessarily healthier. Human milk contains at least 100 ingredients not found in formula. No babies are allergic to their mother’s milk, although they may have a reaction to something the mother eats. If she eliminates it from her diet, the problem resolves itself. Sucking at the breast promotes good jaw development as well. It’s harder work to get milk out of a breast than a bottle, and the exercise strengthens the jaws and encourages the growth of straight, healthy teeth. The baby at the breast also can control the flow of milk by sucking and stopping. With a bottle, the baby must constantly suck or react to the pressure of the nipple placed in the mouth. Initially, a breast-fed baby will need to be fed 8-12 times in a 24-hour period, especially since both baby and mother are getting used to the process. Breast milk is more quickly digested than formula, which is another reason why more frequent feeding is necessary. Another reason for the constant suckling at the breast is to stimulate the mammary glands to produce more milk for the baby’s growing appetite. But the extra time spent feeding the baby that first year is well worth it as breast milk passes along the mother’s immunities and delivers the highest-quality nutrition for a developing baby.

Healthcare Savings

Healthcare Savings

Are you tired of paying too much for health insurance premiums? Only 5 or 6 years ago health insurance seemed very affordable with fantastic coverage to match. Well, if you’re an individual or family who pays for health insurance today chances are you’re literally getting punched in the pocket book, and it hurts. Dramatically health insurance has changed over the last five years and this article will no doubt arm you with the knowledge you need to get the most out of your next health insurance plan. First, an individual or family needs to identify with what they need out of a health plan. Notice I say need, because unless you make more money than you know what to do with there is no way in the world most people can afford the “Perfect” plan with all the bells and whistles.Do you need a doctors office co pay? Most people don’t realize this will save you up to 30% with some companies by cutting this benefit out of your health insurance plan. Doctors continually raise their fees for visits and most of the time the consumer will go much faster to the doctor if he or she has a $10 co pay as opposed to paying the $50 the doctor may charge. Insurance companies pay millions for these fees and trust me, after the first 12 months of your plan being in effect you’re the one who will be paying by a huge increase in your premium. I’ve seen insurance plans go up 79% after the first twelve months. Totally ridiculous. The consumers cannot afford this.Another huge problem is prescription drug cards. I really can’t see where the consumer wins here either. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re on an employer sponsored group health insuranceplan your probably getting a good deal but I can assure you that your company is paying out the nose for the coverage you’ve come to love. I talk to people weekly who literally work for their health insurance coverage. If you can do without a prescription drug plan I would. It can generally save you 20 to 40% off your premium by not having this benefit.Consumers usually pay 500 to 700 dollars a year for this benefit alone while the average family who can qualify for individual or family medical plans don’t spend near this amount of money. And, once again when you finally use your card the insurance company will generally offset the cost at your renewal date by raising your health insurance premium. Cut out these things and go with a deductible of $1,000 or higher and you will definitely save yourself money both in the short and long term. Most of us can pay for the occasional doctor visit and prescription rather than giving our money up front to the Insurance Company. Just a little food for thought.

3 Ways to Pre-screen Employees Before You Hire

October 27th, 2008 by admin

Hiring people is tricky business. It involves a lot of trust and faith in whoever you decide to hire because you are asking someone whom you dont know into your business and your life. How will you know if they will do a good job? Will they steal, come to work drunk or only be able to do half of their job? Several businesses prescreen employees by making them undergo a series of tests to make sure the people they are hiring are truly who they say they are.

1. Drug and Alcohol Prescreening With a Drug and Alcohol testing device New drug and alcohol testing devices are changing the way employers prescreen possible candidates for new positions. New alcohol and drug follicle hair testingdevices are helping a variety of employers feel confident about who they are hiring. New technology developments are now available to test how long a potential employee has abused drugs or alcohol for up to 12 months! Previously, an employer may have had to rely on a urinalysis test, a much less sophisticated test to tell whether or not a potential candidate was a chronic abuser or not when the test only revealed a weeks worth of data at most.

2. References, Interviews and Second OpinionsHaving your candidates go through more than one interview and by several different people can give you and your organization a good feel for how a person will fit within your company. Everyone has biases and opinions based on first impressions and with a second or third person getting a feel for the candidate, there is more than just one persons opinion making the decision to allow this person to join the team of to refuse them. If three of you feel uneasy about hiring them, it is probably not a good sign.

3. 90 Day Introductory PeriodSeveral companies already perform the 90 day introductory period for all recent hires as insurance, just in case the person doesnt work out. 90 days is a fairly long period of time to get a real feel for someone and see what their habits are, who they socialize with and what their performance is like before you commit to hiring them for the long haul. The introductory period can also be a good thing for the new hire in case the job is not a good fit for them as well. Like that old saying: you are interviewing the employer just as much as you are being interviewed.

Depending on the job a person is applying for will determine how extensive their prescreening will be. An employer looking to hire a pilot, a surgeon or other highly skilled position will likely give a thorough investigation of a candidates background including extensive drug and alcohol testing. Whereas a landscaper or furniture designer for example may not be handling physically crucial equipment as a driver or machinist. As an employer you have the right to refuse hiring anyone, thus protecting yourself and your customers.

Male Infertility- It Doesn’t Mean Loss Of Your Manhood

Male Infertility- It Doesn’t Mean Loss Of Your Manhood

When someone talks about infertility most people initially assume that it is the female in the relationship. Did you know that each year there are 2 million cases of infertility reported in men? Out of all of the cases reported each year for both. 35% of those can be attributed to the male and 55% to the female. It normally occurs in men when the sperm are abnormal. Either having too few sperm, sperm that swim too slowly, or problems with ejaculation. No one knows why, but many researchers agree that sperm counts have been declining for decades. This potentially due to the our exposure to environmental hazards and toxins of our time. Even chemicals from normal everyday plastics have been reported to have caused reproductive damage. If you and your partner have been trying to become pregnant for more than 12 months without any success, it’s time to make an appointment with your doctor. You will first want to ensure that there is not an underlying infection standing in your way. A clean bill of health with get you off to a great start. Next you will want to have a semen analysis done. Your doctor will look at different measurements during the test. Sperm count should be 20 million per ml or more. Your doctor will also observe the swimming ability of your sperm and the number of abnormal forms present. If your sperm are abnormal it may be caused by inflammation of the testicles, abnormally developed testicles, or swollen veins in the scrotum. If the results show that your sperm count is low it can be caused by several different factors. Use of alcohol or tobacco, wearing restrictive underwear, or a hormone disorder are only a few of the reasons why your sperm count may be low.Sometimes you may find that you have a problem with ejaculation. Premature ejaculation, retrograde ejaculation, or erection dysfunction can all prohibit the sperm from reaching the cervix. Did you know that an oral bacteria can cause an infection in the male reproductive system that can lead to problems with fertility? Here’s a good reason to see your dentist on a regular basis.Generally infertility is treated by taking antibiotics to remove any infections. Taking medicine to increase sperm production, or hormones to help with any imbalance. Unfortunately there is normally nothing you can do to prevent male infertility that is caused by genetic problems or an illness. However there are some things you can do to decrease your chances of experiencing infertility issues. Keep yourself healthy. Eat properly, exercise regularly, and take vitamins. Avoid caffeine. One cup of coffee can decrease your fertility by 50%. Avoid long hot baths or showers. Wear loose fitting underwear so your testicles remain unrestricted.Find a support group in your area. Hearing that other people are experiencing the same issues can help with th emotional side of infertility.

Why Reading Nutrition Articles is Useless

Why Reading Nutrition Articles is Useless

All the knowledge in the world will not help you unless you put it into action. Reading articles and tips on nutrition will not help you. Using the information they contain will. Chances are, you know more than you think you know about nutrition. Much of it is common sense. But common sense is not common practice. Hence, the sole purpose of this article is to urge you to do what you know, and to use what you will learn reading nutrition articles. Reading nutrition articles is useless: put them into action if you want real results.Picture this: Bob and Bill and overweight, unfit, and have high blood pressure and cholesterol. Bob spends 12 months reading nutrition articles. Bill spends one reading, and the other 11 applying what he learned. Who’s healthier and fitter after 12 months? Bill is. Who would you rather be? Some nutrition articles end with action steps toward a healthier you. When they don’t, think them up. Do them. Apply what you learn. You will get results like never before. Here are two:ACTION STEP 1Nutrition articles are about getting healthier and fitter. Take action now: stand up and walk to the other side of the house, then come back. Count your steps: if you haven’t walked 50, repeat until you hit 50. Congratulations: you’re on your way to a fitter you. Every step counts.ACTION STEP 2Repeat action step 1 for a total of 100 steps.

Hyperhidrosis Treatments – What Are They? Do They Really Work?

Hyperhidrosis Treatments – What Are They? Do They Really Work?

Hyperhidrosis is a dreadful condition which usually results in excessive sweating of the underarms, palms, feet, forehead or back. It can be emotionally traumatizing and can pre-occupy your thoughts when you’re just trying to do your day to day activities. Although it can be difficult to bear, there are hyperhidrosis treatments available to look into. Of the Hyperhidrosis Treatments available, one you can consider is ET (Endoscopic Transthoracic Sympathectomy. It’s basically a big long word for inserting a mini camera between your ribcages so they can get a good look at the nerves connecting to your sweat glands and cut them. It’s a procedure that has been in practice since 1920 and in a case study it’s been found to be satisfactory in 98% of cases. One of the issues though is that after this surgery you may get compensatory Hyperhidrosis, where your body compensates by sweating more in other areas. If you’re looking for Hyperhidrosis treatments that are less invasive there are other options. You can try Botox injections. You’re not going to be getting a free wrinkle remover and Hyperhidrosis treatment in one though, unless you have fine lines down by your armpits. What the Botox will do though is temporarily disable your sweat glands from functioning properly. This is a very expensive treatment though, in the area of $600-700 every 6-12 months. One of the least invasive of the invasive Hyperhidrosis treatments is called “Iontophoresis”. What happens is an electric current is passed through the skin to disrupt the functioning of the sweat glands. It has a high success rate (83% as per the American Academy of Dermatology), for people with sweaty palms and sweaty feet that is. There is a home kit you can purchase for this as well. The only thing though is it too is costly, $500 for the machine, plus you will need to use it frequently, a few times a week. If you ever stop the excessive sweating will unfortunately come back.
